HOMM4 Creature Looks- Better or Worse?

First of all, what HAPPENED to the phoenix? It used to be such a beautiful, magnificent creature. Now it's a turkey on fire! That close-up picture thing in the stats looks fine, but then the actual creature in battle...not so great... sigh.
The behemoth changed into a giant RAT, whoopee!
The griffin is a giant eagle. Isn't is supposed to be half-lion?
I kind of like the unicorns magical spark thingies when it walks, but I'm not to crazy about the rainbow mane.
The elementals definately improved from HOMM2 (other than the fire elemental, it just looks pathetic). I wouldn't mind having the HOMM3 fire elemental back though.
I like the faerie dragons, but the black dragons are same as always.

Actually the phoenix looks more like a chicken.
The best improvment is the vamp with his athletical body.

I think Angel improved a lot...now he looks a lot cooler.  (before he wares a dress...no shoes...freaky...)

Phoenix looks so dumb.

Also titan...they are almost the same size as peasants!  Can't believe they were once the higher of 'giants'.  Cyclopes are also small.
