Powerspot vs. UTB

The race has begun !!!
UTB is still in front, leading by 0.7 , but it seems powerspot is coming and coming,  trying to catch up with it. Now the crowd realizes this 0.7 is almost nothing judging by the spot speed.
I sense a rebelious force in that spot making it to recover the distance faster than you expected, despite his tiny appearance. clouds of dust behind them... it will be a dramatic finish./...

it's almost too late to place the bets, if you dont rush ...

Lone heroes

What is your purpose with making the armies they have random?

Cause I have an idea. Each time they are encountered and not defeated (victorious), they should lose their armies again, and they would get new (and still random) troops for the next fight. Also resurrect the heroes if dead.

That would have two consequences.

First - you have to defeat the whole army at once (no Hit'n'run and other stuffz).

Second - you'll never know what you will fight, you cannot fix their army by attacking them. So you cannot get yourself ready for defeating specific troops.

You're always like this, or this is a special feature for me?

You never made Hit'n'Run against neutrals - that means you lack some skills, that's all.

I just kill those spellcasters in the second line by small fodder troops before the battle. Many other variations possible, like depleting hero spellpoints, killing specific heroes or groups, etc. It does make a difference if you can get through a guard 3-4 days earlier because of these tactics. It might decide the game. You can lower the enemy performance significantly at a low price.

Now you see what I mean?

Hi csarmi,

Thanks for the critique of ATF (After the Flood).  Most people prefer the teal side.  I'm glad to hear you feel blue has at least a small advantage, though I still prefer teal.

No this isnt special feature, im always like this

you have point there, when after guards to brake lies enemy area or something so big that can give you win.
in this map, harder enemies await..and breaking early means possibly wont have cleared other lev4 guards inside your area. still, even if break early will have something a do.
its the map this way.

..not to mention losing time,,you know half day stalling can kill you vs top players, in some maps.. how much lagtime is h'nr? - towngate disabled too..pff

I can't see your point here. What stalling time? I can hit with small groups (and run with them or just get them killed), and then comes the main one, who did not lose a single movement point.

Also you'd like to tell me that if I got through the Hero guards first, that wouldn't give an edge for me? BTW, how strong do you feel your level 4 guards are?

I will tell no such thing. What I am up to is the relative strength of the level 4 guards and the heroes guards.

It seems to me that this matters a lot. Now I don't play all alignments well, also I do not have too much experience on mass creature maps like this, so I wouldn't take the courage to tell it myself, that's why I ask the mapmaker - he must have had an idea in his head.

Still, I have the feeling that by the time I can go through the hero guards, I can easily clean level 4's too, maybe simultanously...

But we got too far.

My starting point was to make the hero guards be the same random stuff every time they are attacked. This idea has good and bad points too. What about it?

i dunno right now how i could do such thing work, neither am i going to search on it, i have other stuff in my head.
you can do whatever in your maps you know.
if i want any feedback it would be on gameplay and if one had fun playing it. what one does with his work is his business and has NOTHING to do with FREAKING OBJECTIVITY

yeah, and some enjoy having only 1 castle on it ... and only 1 hero and no level 4s, playing it hardcore it seems

By the way, camoes, ballcough let's continue our saga with mapmaker and very good player(warcraft maybe, i've been told i have talent) vs. sometimes brilliant player and triple L, action hero

Unfortunately heroes can't be resurrected. But random creatures everytime the heroes are attacked is very possible. And so is the random amount, if you want such a thing.

On Encounter:
Set Creatures to Random Number between 50 and 100.
Set Choose_Creatures to Random Number between 1 and 3.
Take 300 Angels from this army.
Take 300 Devils from this army.
Take 300 Black Dragons from this army.
Trigger Custom Event named Give Creatures.

Give Creatures:
If Choose_Creatures = 1 then Give 1 Angel to this army set Creatures to Creatures -1.
If Choose_Creatures = 2 then Give 1 Devil to this army set Creatures to Creatures -1.
If Choose_Creatures = 3 then Give 1 Black Dragon to this army set Creatures to Creatures -1.
If Creatures Greater than 0 then Trigger Custom Event named Give Creatures.
