new artifacts in sod
My opinion is that the new artifacts like angelic aliance or power of the dragon father are way to powerful.For example if you find angelic aliance(+21 to each skill)you have a 90% chance to win the map because noone will be strong enough to face your army.Or if you play with the necromancer and find the cloack of the undead king nothing will stop you > you'll gather zounds of leaches very very fast I mean that's anoying I have a friend that beat me each and every time he played with necropolis I thing that there should be created maps on which you can find more than one powerful arifact and more dragon utopias too otherwise whoever finds the dragon utopia first is most likely to win
I must say though that i like finding a super arifact

Angelic Alliance isn't so good. Armor of the Damned is cool, Armaggedon's Blade rocks, Elixir of Life kicks @$$, and Wizard's Well is pretty cool.
Does it make it easy to win? Yes, because the AI isn't smart enough to employ these artifacts, except in smaller maps where they come pre-assembled.

I think all combo arties should have to be a real battle to get they are VERY powerful

I got news for you guys!
Those artifacts are not called COMBO artis for nothing.
If your using SOD version 3.0,3.2 or Complete Version 4.0 you NEED to save maps that have been made for ROE players in the map editor as SOD maps.. This way you won't get those one hit wonder combos, you actually need to assemble them.
Whoever it was that said Angelic Alliance is not so good.. is either stupid, really bad at heroes, or has never seen it! Even without the stats mass prayer free at start of combat is MASSIVE.
The Undead cloak although tough.. is beatable, a number of things can take care of 1000's of lichs. Diplo for example.. or hit and runs with massive implos.. last I checked lichs arn't too fast. Shackles with that cloak.. your dead. But even soo a nice intellegence hero with huge mana and power score and summon could potentially kill those lichs although difficult.
Armor od the damned.. yup wonderful combo.. very powerful, however near end game its usefulness wears thin as the slots it requires are also home to massive stat raising relics.
This is all coming from Multiplayer vet.. so I am really not sure how the computer would employ these relics and strats.

Mass Prayer is nice, and of course the stats are nice, but it takes too many slots just for a Prayer spell (helmet, necklace, shield, sword, boots, breastplate). All that's left are the rings and cloak. I'd rather spend those slots on something else.
Necklace: Seeing-Eye or Negation or Swiftness
Sword: Armageddon's Blade
Shield: the Lion one (can't remember its name right now)
Boots: Levitation or Speed (Speed is better)
Helmet: Heavenly Enlightenment is good. An alternative might be Captain's Helm, if the map has a lot of water.
Breasplate: They're all kinda boring, go with Brimstone.
Cloak: Angel's Wings, of course
Rings: (Before you get the Vial of Lifeblood) Wayfarer, Still Eye of Dragon (the +1 Luck/Morale one)

I got some amazing news 
Heaven helm -- part of the angelic alliance
Lion Sheild -- Part of the angelic alliance
Celestial Necklace -- part of the angelic alliance
Sword of Judgement -- part of the angelic alliance
sandals of the saint -- part of the angelic alliance
and the armor of wonder..
THese artifacts are what you need in order to "build" the angelic alliance..
so your theory seems kinda bogus to me.
Arma blade ok sure.. but that artifact is such an incredible toss its a waste of time playing if you happen to find it.. Btw in true SOD made Maps or ROE maps, or random maps the Arma blade is disabled..
If you need that thing to have a "good game" I'm not surprised you think Angelic is just "ok"

Helm - I already knew that.
Shield - I already knew that.
Necklace - I already knew that. If you read my post a little more closely, you'll see I chose other necklaces over Bliss.
Boots - I already knew that. If you read my post a little more closely, you'll see I chose other boots over Sandals.
Sword - I already knew that. If you read my post a little more closely, you'll see I chose another sword over Judgement.
Breastplate - I already knew that. If you read my post a little more closely, you'll see I chose another breastplate over Wonder.
If I sound like I'm repeating myself, it's because you evidently didn't quite understand my post the first time.
As for my "theory" - well, it isn't a theory. It's an opinion.
As for Armaggedon's Blade being a "toss" - I'm not sure exactly what you mean here. If you mean it's too powerful, then I agree. Do I need it to have a "good game?" No; in fact, I rarely find it (probably because of the maps I chose to play).
I'd take Elixir of Life over Angelic Alliance.

Just a tip after reading your initial post again
The seeing eye necklace can easily be replaced by the Badge of courage.. which protects you from both blind and all mind spells..
I guess I'll have to choose bliss..
And I apologize if I misunderstood.. I thought you were saying that rather than the AA you'd wear lions sheild, and heaven hat.. which are part of the artifact which means.. not really "alternative"
Arma Blade is/should not be available on any maps you find unless your loading ROE maps in sod game. With the obvious exception of some joker map maker placing it.. or in a campaign.

S'alright.
I think Armaggedon's Blade would be o.k. if it just cast one Armaggedon at the beginning of the battle, rather than as many times as you could support with your mana; and made all your creatures immune to just that first attack.
