Well, I do best with Might because I get quite obsessed with getting my heroes combatskills up and I end up with a heroes running around with no armies because they don't need it. Then, when i put creatures with those heroes....i kick de butt of de enemy, hehehe. But second favorite is Life because of the amazing numbers you can achieve!

Chaos is my choice.
Its because of Black Dragons.

Wow, i posted this almost a year ago LOL - neway, i guess not much has changed since those two are still my favorites... i don't know what i'm going to do after i beat the Emelia Campaign, since i already did the Erwin one lol.. i usually don't even think about choosing anything else cuz life is toooo slow (otherwise i would probably take them) and i don't like their creatures all that much, and im not a huge fan of Death lol.. Chaos can be fun tho, Medusas are great to have on your side (but a PAIN to be up against) and Black Dragons are kool (but for once Titans put up a prettttty good fight, since there's no melee penalty and their cheaper so there are usually more) - but right now i think i'll stick with the Academy

UncleJR, have you tried giving your Life Hero the skills of Chaos or Death Magic? Is that possible? If yes, I bet by choosing those skills, you gave up on the other skills initially available to your hero in your seminary or during level up (which is most likely Tactics/Life Magic). You just wasted your time.

But Dark Priest, is...
Add GM Combat and GM Melee and if lucky you can have a devastating hero: Death and Life Caster, which can drain life with it's melee hit.

Nature - cause they are the coolest one, Phoenix is awesome hehe, and even more than that i like Matis, the coolest IMO creature in Heroes IV

Death - Against AI, Vampires can do all the job. Human players would target them first in most cases, but against AI vamps can take whole armies, even when you play on most difficult setting. Im talking bout 2-3 vamps here lol. I dont know why anyone would take venom spawn.

Life - I adore the music in the town lol, besides, all units are good, unlike in other towns where at least 1 lever is crappy with units

Order - Nobility skill rulz and Geniuses are overpowered having stacks with 1 or few more Geniuses rulz

Hey!!!

Hey Medusa!!! We're the same!!! My favorite was the Dungeon in HOMM3! Now, I like Chaos!!! It has the Black Dragons and the Efreets!!!

Several times, when I make my campaign, I checked out some stuffies (PEONS/Peasant Equivalent) there and Chaos really seems to be the strongest...

Charzir!!!!! I love Charzir of Chaos!!!!!

I like Life, Chaos, and Might in this game:

Life: I loved the HOMM3 Castle with a passion and prayed the days of HOMM2 were over. Sadly Some of the units (like the Crusader) lack HP but are still quite strong. I just like the atmosphere of the haven and the Resurrection Skill is very handy.

Chaos: Like the Dungeon in Heroes 3 and the days of the Warlock in HOMM1 and 2. This is a town a Warlock would be proud of. Vicious Magic and Vicious Creatures in short. Sure the Level 1 creature stink but when you get to Level 2 some seriously awesome creatures appear.

Might: Again My like of this town in descended from my like of the Stronghold. Magic Resistence in great. And the creatures are very dangerous in large numbers. Screw Magic! that's the Barbarian Motto!

It varies for me. I'll play a town for a while and it'll be my current favourite, especially on certain maps. I've been playing The Dragon's Wrath lately and chaos does really well on it, better than I did with death, and death did well. On a smaller map that didn't happen to have a handy scouting power up laying around, I don't think chaos would do nearly as well.

Chaos has some nice spells. Direct damage is not so great although firebolt and magic arrow are good at the beginning. I prefer misfortune, confusion, first strike, etc. I prefer chaos spells to death's.

Still, death must be my all time favourite. Vampire/Imp and Vamp/Imp/B Dragon or Devil is a fast combination and Death Knight/Necromancer is one of the best hero teams.

Life can be good. Knight/Priest is about as good as the death team, although the resurrection skill can't compare to necromancy. I haven't used life much lately, but on certain maps it does better than death. I think Land of our Forefathers was the first time I ever beat my performance with death with any faction. My main problem with life is that the only fast army combo is heroes + angels, which is good for collecting but not tough enough for major battles.

Might has been a favourite. I don't think I do all that well with it but I played that Beowulf map several times.

Order... not a favourite. Genii are great units, the spells are good, but the movement is so slow. Magi are punks. I need about 30 before they're formidable, and they're fragile. Lords are unimpressive. I'll hire them to bring in income and increase production, but eh.

Nature is my least favourite. I'm not saying it sucks. The pixie is a good first level unit and I like some of the spells, especially pathfinding, giant strength, summon water elemental, and snake strike. But people have been talking about nature being a fast starter and I just don't get good starts with them. The resource costs are high, the second level creatures are weak, even the thirds aren't so hot. I suppose it comes down largely to personal preference, especially considering I only play SP. Nature's units are annoyingly cutesy. About the best thing I can say for nature is that the leprechaun and satyr are my all time favourite easy kills.

So, long story short:
Death
Chaos
Might
Life
Order
Nature

Nature is a fast starter because you can take on almost anything with your starting level 1's and once you get your mantis (and it's soon) you can go ...

Can I say what city I don't like (creature wise)?

I just HATE death, because they have absolutely no range units.  Well, they have 1 range unit, but to get it you have to not get Vampires, which just kick butt too much to pass up.

Spells wise, death just kicks butt, mass curse, weakness, fatigue, aura of fear, lifesteal etc. etc. etc.

So I prefer Order, so I can still get death spells, and have some decent range units at every level (if you include mages/genies, which can do damage from range).

Can you tell that I like to kill from a distance (mass precision/mass blur combo anyone?).

In Order:
1st: Order
2nd: Death
3rd: Nature
4th: Life
5th: Chaos
6th: Might

I love Order because there are no unit decisions that are obvious. Also, they have no really bad units except for their subpar level ones. There are no failure units like Monks or Ogre Magi. Also, Order Magic is, in my opinion, the best school with Death being its only rival. Spells like Berserk, Song of Peace(or whatever it's called), Create Illusion, Blur, are some of the best spells in the game, and they're all combined into one school. It's almost unfair. Mages are the most underrated unit in the game, with Poison in their arsenal, they can deal incredible amounts of damage. I usually go Mages, Genies, and Dragon Golems which creates a very good blend of sturdy units and long ranged units. If you can get you hands on some Evil Sorceresses, though, you may want to consider Gold Golems, then create an illusion of your Evil Sorceresses and begin Imploding the poor saps. Death isn't too shabby either. Imps are on of the best level ones, Ghosts, Vamps, and Bone Dragons are some of the best units in the game for their level. Death magic is also very good with Vampiric Touch, Poison, and Hand of Death.

Well, order is all about obvious choices. It's obviously golems, genies, dragon golems.

AS for monks and ogre magi, I think you underrate them. Especially the monks, they are very good, even in endfights. So do the Ogre Magi, though they are slow. But once I teleport them in, you are in trouble.
