Worst Artifact
I play heroes a lot, and I always start with artifact special thing (as opposed to gold or resourses). I wanted to know what the worst artifact was, so I could restart or something if I got a really bad one. TY!

Yes, the +1 to luck, morale, and scouting radious are pathetic artifact's.

500 gold is about the price of one upgraded 4th Level creature or non-upgraded 5th level, depending on the town. Getting the gold equivilant of, say, one Vampire Lord or twelve Master Gremlins (plus change) each day doesn't sound too bad to me.
+1 morale is nothing to jump up and down about, but it isn't a disaster. The truly useless artifacts are be the ones that support skills you don't have. Necro artifacts are the absolute worst in this regard. A cleric doesn't really want the Amulet of the Undertaker, thank you very much.

Worst Artifacts
1.) Anything related to Eagle Eye
2.) Anything related to Necromancy (unless you happen to be playing Necro)
3.) Archery modifiers (unless you have the skill)
4.) Anything related to Eagle Eye (so bad, it's worth listing twice)

Worst Artifact
I agree. I hate getting the stoic watchman, bird of eagle eye, or any of that stuff.
I also don't particularly get excited over the necro items unless I'm playing Vidomina and trying like mad to get to the Cloak of the Undead King.
The thing is, with the combo artifacts, something that appears worthless at first (The cherrywood bow, etc) can be a major bonus when you get all the parts. (the bow of the sharpshooter).

Oops. Heh heh. I guess 500 gold/day isn't bad. I agree, though, necro and eagle eye stink, esp. against might opponents.

Yeah, except when your not a necromancer and you get the Vampires Cowl. Other than that, I'd have to agree.

Nebuka's got a good point here. No one says you actually have to use the artifact you get.....but in some circumstances the artifact will always be in use......... however....the artefacts may still be useless for most people....
I think the duration artifacts are useless (at least they are for me, because I usually use magicians that have enough power..)
Also i don't know how the archery artifacts works, but i did read some place that those artifacts still have effects if u don't have archery.....maybe...

I have just tried it. Archery artifacts only work when you have the archery skill.

The worst artefacts are those whic give you resistance from magic (Boots of Polarity, Surcoat of Counterpose, and.... I don't remember).

In fact, they can be very useful, even when you don't have the resistance skill they work
I mean, when you are playing a big battle and your opponent keeps on playing mass slow, chain lightning or other damage spells. you wish you had 60% magic resistance
