You know what this game needs?

Demo mode. Where you can record the entire game played even your opponents turns. Then you can just play it back and see everything that happened. Too bad 3do probably would never put that much effort into this game.

I can hardly imagine sitting sixteen or sixty hours, watching how someone else solved a map.

Record & Playback

That would take a huge amount of HD space.

No, it would not take much hardware space, if done wisely.

I think it could be done, while you're playing the game a lot of it is in cache.  I guess how good it is would depend on your connection.

Nope it won't. We're not talking about recording hours of "videos" here. The game only needs to record the initial condition, the steps each player takes and the random factors at each action. Not very many things here actually.

On second thought . . .

I think maybe you guys are right. It just needs to know the map, and the moves. Yup.
Maybe the only thing that will take up space is recording battles. The rest should be fairly simple.

I sit corrected.

It needs

A virtual reality interface so that when you smack your opponent's critters real hard he can feel the attack in r/l and won't be so quick to trot around in your territory the next time.

hey lich i have one of those vibrating track balls that bounce and shake when it scrolls over something does that count?

To stay with the post:: if they were to run through it fairly fast and when someone cast a spell or went up a level give a little bubble showing what it was...taking like a click of the mouse or space bar to continue, that would be neat i think.
