Dargon,

USA benefited from both wars by trading weapons to Europe, stepping in at the last moment "to save the butts". Well, that is hipocricy if you ask me. They actually sat and waited.

But as we all probably know those were political decisions. Politics can go wrong. And these mistakes are things of the past.

But USA couldn't just sit and watch the war unfold forever. With Europe conquered, Hitler would have been in no time attacking USA, and that would have been disastrous. USA had to intercept in time to save their butts as well... You were also lucky to tackle the war away from your cozy lands. Europeans were not that lucky.

Thus pronouncing things like "you should be grateful that we saved your butts" is kind of low in my point of view. I am just glad that USA did what they knew had to be done.

Btw I am from Lithuania and I welcome the fact that NATO is expanding and we are in. But I will always be honestly questioning the actions that this organisation (and US being the most powerful member) carries out. Otherwise, there is no democracy
