Israel Kills A U.N. Aid Worker
This was in my local newspaper:
Israel says soldiers thought U.N. worker was holding a pistol
"The Israeli army said Saturday that the preliminary results on an investigation into the West Bank killing of a U.N. Aid worker had found that Israeli forces fired the shots after mistaking an object in the man's hand for a gun.
Israeli radio stations reported that the relief worker was holding a cell phone."
It was an Aid Worker!

Yeah I saw that which kinda makes interesting reading the claims that they wait until someone aims a gun at them. Also an aid worker was held at gunpoint yesterday or today by the Israeli army, though I only heard that in passing so the details are a little vague. I think they are lodging a serious complaint though with the UN.

Proves how short-sighted and ignorant the Israeli army is.
I know that Israel wasn't meant to kill UN workers (it was almost certain that this was a mistake), but come on, can't UN workers arm themselves to prevent trouble in the area? I mean really, but Israel and Palestine were at war for 26 months. The UN was only there to try to bring peace and stop the violence.
However, I'd say that Ariel Sharon is starting to turn himself into a bloody dictator.

First of all, which newspaper is that? Coz on CNN they did not confirm that.
On saturday, it said "The Israeli government did not confirm the reports, and said the matter is still under investigation."
Don't jump to conclusions!
Second of all, let's say this is true:
So when America killed those Canadian soldiers by accident it was ok? Accidents do happen in the military, it's true, and an aid worker in a dangerous area could get shot - it's a risk they take when going into a war zone.
