Do you have a link or a quotation?

If it's true though, war's hell, these things are sometimes necessary. We knew about a hell of a lot of things in WWII before they happened through enigma, but didn't use that info for fear of the germans changing their systems. You have to take calculated risks sometimes.

they probably killed the UN worker on purpose. Military guys often like to exercise power and kill ppl

Sounds like you are being sarcastic, are you? If you are I couldn't agree more: of course the military didn't kill the guy on purpose!

Actually I was being serious. I think Israel is right and the palestinians are wrong, BUT I also think there are alot of fascists in many militaries including Israels and these fascists abuse their military power to hurt other people because they can. Those soldiers and officers have to be accused for crimes and killed or punished. Otherwise the entire country looks bad.

There are problems in the Israeli military, and itīs bad for israel, very bad PR when they shoot ppl that the world actually cares about.

If you think so, it's quite sad. I mean, that's just not true! NOBODY does that. I knew many people who served in the military and I know how serious their training is. If they were to even think of shooting someone like that on purpose they would have been kicked out of military and went to jail or whatever. Just so you know - Israel's army is a strong one and their training is one of the best (might be second best after the US). This also means that they are trained to only shoot the enemy and only at the right time. You must understand that a soldier, of any country with a normal military today (that is, every country besides those that have terrorists as their military) wouldn't even think of shooting a person like that. If not for moral reasons than at least because of the world reaction and his punishment.

I have to stand with IYY here. From experience of troops in Belfast the british learnt that no matter their training our troops, if scared of an enemy they cannot always see and in a combat situation they make mistakes. That soilder was scared, saw someone raise a item that appeared to be a weapon and had to make a split second decision. He made the wrong one, it was a mistake. These things happen, even amongst the finest armies.

But I have to disagree also, Britain's armies are FAR more highly trained than those wimpish yanks

I don't think so PH.  The U.S. has better trained troops.  But of course we only know half of the story, you probably know Britian's training and I know U.S. training.
