Did anyone ever find a solution to Homm4s lag??

You know, the lag that comes in around week 4..
It plays pretty smoothly, but the more I play the more lag I have to deal with (primarily on the map)

I'm on my way to splurging for a new computer..

Try installing more RAM into the computer you've already got.  I boosted my laptop from 128 MB to 320 MB, and my maplag problems disappeared.  (I assume you're talking about the thing where your hero takes 3-5 seconds to start moving, even if the action is as simple as "go here" or "pick this up"?)  It doesn't solve everything -- my mouse still trails -- but it sure helps.  And it's a lot easier than getting a whole new comp.

Honesty, I think trying to find labtop upgrades isnt all as easy as buying the new top of the line.

I'd actualy have to go to a store in america (where I understand language), ask a sales person what I can use to upgrade my LT, and whats the best way to go for ~specific performance here~

I'm to computer illiterate, and it would be eaiser to buy a new one.

*wishes to be good enough to make one!! and also had a place to have a personal desktop!

Actually, installing memory in a laptop is a snap, literally.  It took me about five minutes (and a really small screwdriver ).  I ordered the module on-line.

Personally, I wouldn't trust salespeople.  I tried going to a computer store to get memory, but they just guessed at what I needed and sold me a module that didn't work.    It turned out to have the wrong frequency.  It's been my experience that if you don't know exactly what you want, most sales clerks aren't very helpful.  So, if you've still got your manual, look up your laptop's specs on memory "architecture" (SDROM, RDROM, something like that) and frequency (100 MHz, 133 MHz, etc).  Then get a laptop memory module with matching specs and the number of MBs you want.

Of course, buying a new top of the line model is more fun.    Second best is drooling over the catalog of new top of the line models.

And no, RAM addition doesn't solve the transfer problem.  That's apparently in the H4 program itself.  Fixing it is up to 3DO.

I'll be in Hong Kong soon, and it's the probably one of the best place on the eastern side of the world, to buy these things.
Khaleo, you've helped me alot, in the other thread I made, and this one. thanks.
I plan to take your advice, and get the new radeon 9700 pro (or something) and mabey other stuff! IAW investigation to what my PC takes.
This is all for a lab top BTW, any recomondations on things I can buy, to make it better?
Specificly to run Morrowind smoothly. (dont hate me, but morrowinds my favirout)
