Does anyone knows about ALPHA CENTURY? It's a very beautiful turn based game that looks like civilization but all the action happens in 2010 and on some other planet!

Hey Kuma, don't destroy the good image I've had from you recently

Actually I happen to like Alpha Centauri, ok the graphics suck bad (so bad that it affects the gameplay), but the atmosphere and comp opponents are great.

Wanna be Haile's friend

I wouldn't dare Haile
But the graphics were kinda lousy and the most important thing I liked about Civ was the historic parts in it; loved building pyramids and Hoover dam and the units and stuff.

I just dun like Science fiction things in any shape or form.

hmmm, so if you don't like SciFi stuff, I guess you never built spaceship and killed all the other civs instead

I for one like SciFi scenarios very much, even bought the book trilogy the game is based on (at least Defreni told me so long ago): Red Mars / Green Mars / Blue Mars by K.S. Robinson. Interesting, but kinda difficult to read - at least for me, lol

Don't you think people that a better version of ALPHA CENTURY
must be created?

They already created a better version of Alpha CENTURY. It's called Alpha CENTAURI.

Well, its a strategy scifi kinda game.
There isn't much strategy involved in battles though, but the real strategy is in managing troops, building bases and choosing places to deploy ur troops in.U can take mines, recon, attack, defend etc.U basically get to choose where u build a base, then u build up the base, while u conquer the system.Turns are counted as battles, after every battle u get income and pay maintanance. The battle is simple:u get the force u built up,look around, mostly their search and recover or hunt down and destroy type of missions.

Disciples II: Guardians of the Light will feature the two good races in the game; the Empire and the Mountain clans. The add-on will have two new campaigns, a host of skirmish missions, a random map generator, and enhanced graphics over the original. It is scheduled for release this May.

hmm...Midnight,why is a random map genrator so important?
In HoMM2 Price of Loyalty, there is a random map generator, but it creates wierd maps, totally messed up!A lot of places are unreachable, monsters just lying around, doin nothin! There also is a random map generator in Civ,Colonization and Antiquity.I prefer map editors,so I can make my own maps.
