Continuing that, I should say orc chieftains are the bomb, they are what stronghold is all about.

Umm...i think ive had enough!
I think that ive had enough experiance playing HOMM----i bought it probly before most people here claim to have---i got HOMM 1 the very day the box opened in the store. and the same for 2, 3, 4 and i will for 5! I have what it takes, and i am sure that stronghold sucks! ANDY, i have to agree with you, and yes i do know who craig hack is, hes the fagget BARBARIAN with the fluffy red beard, hes gay, hes stupid, hes a bi*tch hitter, he has PU**Y magic spells, anything else?

I have never been able to figure out how the bermoths special abillity works because nothing seems to change on the creature stack it hits ( apart from its size obviously )
So im wondering if it works like the frenzy spell and just does the job for that particular hit.
Can anyone straghten me on this one?

Quite simple actually......If u have one AB
And attacks a unit with 100 defense (to make it easy)...The Ancient behemoth ignores 80% of the defense which in this case means the defending unit only have 20 defense instead of 100.....and since u for every extra attack point u have u do 5% extra damage...this bonus mean alot, also...it becomes even more powerful the more defense the defending unit have...
So if one AB with 100/100 attacks one AA with 100/100 the behemoth will do extra damage for 80 attack points which means they will do 400% more damage than normally..

Well, every Lvl7 is good, you only need to know how to use them properly. And Ancient Behemoths are so straight forward, that you don't need no particular tactic for them to do some serious damage. That means you don't need any preparations before the big bang (except a haste maybe).

LOL
That funny thread arose from the dead!
It's the only funny thread in the library, right?
Now back on topic: Ancients are really good, and simple behemoths are either, as they can often be gained very soon. Depends on the game diff and richness, of course, but that's never a problem on 100%, and even on 160% I managed to do that several times... few times... once
