actually the people were richer when they were dead, because of the value of the bones. See Crazy Drake was actually a grave robber. He stole those bones and sold them on the streets in the poor neighborhoods. Although highly illegal this was, the demand only increased as the poor population became more and more addicted. He even dug up Lich_King from the graves and sold him in an upperclass country club for a cool million.
