Venom Attack - Cast on a friendly unit to give them the Wyvern Poison ability - an Earth or Fire Spell. At basic there's a 10% chance of poisoning, 25% Advanced and 60% Expert.

Aging - Air Spell, as above only with the aging effect from Ghost Dragons.

Acid Pool - Like the Quicksand Spell, only it does damage as well as halting the creature, like the moat from fortress, Water/Earth spell.

Tripwire - creates a line between two friendly units, any enemy passing through this line is halted/damaged/slowed. Line can be 3, 5 or 9 hexes long depending on level.

Attack Mirror - returns 50%/75%/100% damage to the attacker
Scales of Justice - all enemies on the field have equal HP (if there are 5 friendly azure dragons , 10 friendly supreme archangels and 20 enemy peasants => (5*1000 + 10*500 + 20*1)/35 = 10020/35 = 286 HP for all creatures)
Boost - selected stack increases all it's stats by 10%/20%/50%
Wind - you must choose the direction of the wind , if an creature walks in that direction it's movement will be increased by 2/4/6 points , if an creature walks in the opposite direction it's movement will be decreased by 2/4/6 points
Star Storm - like meteor storm but bigger and makes more damage
Thunder Storm , every turn it casts on 1/2/3
creatures the spells Lighting Bolt or Chain Lighting

Battlecry - gives one more attack for your units...
basic- 1round (1 creature), adv - 2rounds(1 creature), exp- 3rounds (all units),available in stronghold!!

Apocalypse: All dead creatures on the map will be reanimated as skeletons. Lvl 1 - 50% of the stacks. Lvl 2 - 75% of the stacks. Lvl 3 - 100% of the stacks. Undead creatures will not be raised, neither will holy creatures, etc. monks, angels, paladins.

Enhanced fortune and misfortune:
To make these spells more usefull, couldnīt they also increase/decrease the percentage of creature special abilities working? Like exp. fortune doubling the chance and exp. misfortune taking away certain specialties...

Spirits of the Fallen :
Grants a friendly unit a portion of the total attack and defence of all friendly dead creatures(non Mechanic)  (Air 5 Castle)
No skill:5% of the total att. and def of your fallen allies - 1 round
Basic :10% - 1 round  Advanced 25% - 2 rounds Expert 60% - 5 rounds

Fist of Heavens :
Destroys a number of Undead or Heretic units (Necropolis-Inferno-Dungeon) in the field and banishes them so they cannot be reanimated or anything not even after the combat(as if they were never existed) (Air 5 Castle - Tower -Rampart)
No skill: 15 creatures
Basic: 25 creatures
Advanced: 30 creatures
Expert:  45 creatures

Internal Oblivion :
The same as Fist of Heavens (Fire 5 Inferno-Necropolis-Dungeon) for Castle,Tower and Rampart creatures

I ll think and i ll come up with more

crystalise    earth spell
affects enemies within an area on map about meteor shower size all enemies with are stoped they can not
move, attack, use abilities or take damage basicly they
become obstacles on the map and nothing more
duration level 1 = 2 turns
              2 = 3 turns
              3 = 4 turns

Spell Beacon (lv.5)
- doubles spell damage taken by taget creature (like givin it -100% golem type resistance) (if that integer can go below 0%)

Animate undeads - level 4 or 5 Earth
This spell animates undeads from corpses of alive creatures. If you don't have Necromancy skill, it animates Skeletons, if you have Necromancy on basic level - Wights, advanced - Vampires, expert - Liches. Animates [Power*(20-bas/30-adv/50-exp)/(Skeleton's, Wight's, Vampire's or Lich's lifepoints)] creatures. If you cast this spell on dragons corpses, it animate undead dragons (Bone, Ghost, Blood, Dracolich). Animates [Power*(20-bas/30-adv/50-exp)/(Bone dragon's, Ghost dragon's, Blood dragon's or Dracolich's lifepoints)] dragons. Spell doesn't animate corpses of undeads, elementals, machines and all non-living creatures.

The spell cost would be quite big and perhaps there should be a limit to the use once per combat depending on skill lvl.ther must have been a counterspell for it and a limitation (once per combat etc)

Seek & Destroy (did anyone say early Metallica? )

Adventure map spell: cast it before heading into a shroud of darkness, to destroy or weaken either enemy heroes or creatures lying in wait (i.e. ambushes with placed events, not wandering stacks).

For instance:

- basic level: 6-square radius, 50% chance of success, damage to all stacks = [spell power x 50] + sorcery bonus (if any)

- advanced level: 8-square radius, 75% chance of success, damage to all stacks = [spell power x 75] + sorcery bonus (if any)

- expert level: 10-square radius, 100% chance of success, damage to all stacks = [spell power x 100] + sorcery bonus (if any)

If the hero has bad luck (-2), the spell could either fizzle - even at expert level - or, if his luck is especially bad (-3) it could boomerang

Just an idea off the bat...

How about a spell that washes away the corpses of dead stacks (or maybe dead units in alive stacks too) so that they cannot be resurrected, animated, skeletonised, vampiresurrected or demonised by any means?

that would bea nice life spell but what about the spell "summon artefact". depending on the skill, u summon different arefacts

basic-minor artefact or potion(eg, elven chainmail)
advanced-better minor artefact or potion of immortality(already drunk if this is what u get)
expert-2 minor artefacts
master-major artefact
grandmaster-relic
can only be cast 1 for master and grandmaster

Improved berseker-mixed hypnotize and berseker level 4 fire

what about something like....

wrath of the gods: kill all unit in battlefield, including your own. offcours it has to be multicolored: chaos, death, order & nature

i think vampire touch is cool.

or a spell called Love? - make people fall in love and want attack the hero.(must be different sex!)

Blind Rage (15 through 20 spell points)

This is a Chaos spell from Lords of Magic game that causes an enemy creature to make an offensive bee-line for one of your creatures while ignoring any other threat. Casting is similar to Teleport: first click on enemy creature to send into Blind Rage and then click on the victim (must be your army). After the creature with Blind Rage reaches and attacks the target, the spell ends. Otherwise, the spell fades after the spell duration is over

Basic: Spell lasts for one turn.
Advanced: Spell lasts for two turns.
Expert: Spell lasts for three turns.
