it seem fred isn't used to ERM :|
fred, you should follow instructions when you ask for help (and check if it works) and then if you wish (and you make sure it's not helper fault - which you didn't) make modifications, but ones which won't spoil helpers work. if you spoil you always can go back in these cases.

sal, that script is in my main creatures scripts, which is what you see there in your link. if it isn't in my forge creatures scripts, and needs to be, you could have just said so. ffs. i posted the script, you didn't see the obvious issue, and now you claim that it's my fault.
YOU know more about scripting than me, along with everyone else here. which is why i'm ASKING for help in the first place. don't ridicule me when you're not addressing the issue AFTER i posted the script.

dude, read the above post. if i knew scripting like you guys did, i wouldn't snowing ask any of you. what i posted was two different scripts. they are seperate, because i'm trying to build a snowing mod. OBVIOUSLY.

I don't ridicule you, you ridicule us by asking help while using a version 4 years old and bugged as hell, then refusing to upload your mod when debug help is proposed, then ranting about how nobody wants to help. Read the comments, what everyone is advising? They all say "make a mod" but then you continue your crap about some data/s folder which is not working and not giving a dam about what is told to you.

dude, i can't run era 2, period. it won't work, no matter what i do, and i don't know why. the reason i'm running this mod on era 1.8 is because that's all i have atm, to work with. that's all i can use, to test with.
how exactly, do you propose for me to work on a platform that literally doesn't work for me? do you not see the problem with that?
the issue i have with you and majazeck, is that both of you are ridiculing me for not knowing erm as well as you two. if i DID know erm as well as you two, do you think i would even BE asking for help?
comments like yours and his, REALLY aren't helping my problem. i've having enough issues as it is, on MY end; i don't need ADDITIONAL snow thrown at me from YOUR end.
YOU guys have all the knowledge here. i've presented the erm guru's with the script i'm using, that works up UNTIL i try the additional scripts you guys just added, and instead of pointing out what's wrong with the script and actually showing me where the additional scripts are supposed to go, i get "i guess fred doesn't know erm" from majezeck and "but you already HAD the right script here"(in a completely seperate script, i might add) from you, and STILL don't show me EXACTLY what i need to fix my problem; but ridicule me instead.
i'm not in the wrong, here. you two are. you have the knowledge, but would rather dangle it in front of me, and laugh while i try to grab at it.
and this is a RECURRING theme with you when it comes to help, sal(ever since my first object patch, goddamn it!). how about, stop being a dick, and just HELP me? i mean, ffs; i'm doing everything i CAN to follow you guy's instructions, here.

I didn't laugh at you and provided working part of code. I wanted just to guide you by hand. I just felt "hey a scripting newbie, I can help him but let give hook not a fish" then "well I can give him a script because it doesnt bother to me writing two lines of code - at least he has goood coments"
It's nothing wrong to be a newbie at something, in example I am newbie on graphics. I am a bit tired now (11:00 PM here), but please ask Salamandre how to install era 2 to make it working, as era1.8 is outdated etc.
There are some things you should to know but if not - it's not end of the world - if you can ask proper questions - it's why we use forums mostly.
two suggestions for fred:
>> Install era 2 when you can
>> use a versioning system for your mod (like me on git but you can use other tool)
then you don't get most problems with era 1 and you don't need upload each time non-finished copy to weird places or our mod repository.

@ sal: forgive me. the ridiculing came from majazeck, this time. the disinformation and lack of help came from you after your initial decent attempt that ended up failing because you wouldn't point out where i went wrong in adding it to my existing script that worked, or providing the information needed to fix said script that i posted. which isn't helpful at all, really.
as for addressing era 2; i'm working on one problem at a time. first, the forge reordering. then, i'll probably come back here periodically in case i need anything else that isn't in the minimal erm help files.
i really don't need any additional stress, when asking for help. when i'm asking for help, i'm already stressed out as it is because i can't find the solution myself. i have a snow-ton of work on my hands as it is, and every little hiccup and snide comment just make dealing with things even worse than it has to be.

you didn't make me unhappy, you just added to the stress i'm already dealing with. i understand now, that you wanted to teach me, but i'm WAY too busy to attempt to learn any more erm at this point, beyond what i already know from erm help.
i asked proper questions. i made myself as clear as possible. if i left out any information, then i apologize. i'm really busy, and every little thing slowing me down is not welcome whatsoever.

I thought you know what a function is, but hmm you didn't. I made brief snipplet of code for you, and you are still angry on me when I try to help you in my way. in ERM help there are explained a few things, it's good to read this. And no I am not ERM guru - I mostly use ERM help as cheatsheet, but I am already used to ERM.

I find it funny that people waste their private time to help you with scripts and still you start snowstorm for some reason. I didn't see any negativity neither from Salamander nor Majaczek but you still started to harrass them. I think you are taking this way too personal, just chill out a little.
