Rampart - Grand Elf
Tower - Master Genie
Inferno - Efreet Sultan
Necropolis - Dread Knight
Dungeon - Medusa Queen
Stronghold - Ogre Magi
Fortress - Gnoll Marauder
Conflux - Smog Elemental
Neutral - Sharpshooter
Master Genies are my all time favourite though, they are pretty lazy, they just cast spells at the begining then they take the kill if the enemy is weak enough.

AA - 1st priority and even angels rock early game
Dragons - any kind are fine with me 
Naga Queens/Chaos Hydras - I love damage dealers that don't get retaliation

Level 4 - Vampire Lord
Level 5 - Minotaur King/Mighty Gorgon
Level 6 - Dread Knight/Champion/Efreet Sultan
Level 7 - ArchAngel/Ancient Behemoth/Titan/Black Dragon

ooo no, no, no - Not gonna go!
How can you say the coooolest creature of Dun is .. Medusa? A snake-woman, not even very naked...
How about the Black Dragon? You know - the once Pink, but always loved symbol of the series - The Black Dragon! Rings a bell?
Not to mention the very kewl spartan-like troglodytes.

In case you have noticed I always find anything snake-related to look really awesome. Snake-fetish? 
Anyway, the Black Dragon... well it's just a dragon. It doesn't really interesting or particulary cool. Medusa Queens just look awesome with that rusty brown color scheme and those glowing white eyes.

Well,my favorite creture is Enchanter,i like them very much,especially when they cast slow at the beggining of the battle

Snakes are nice i guess, can't fly or anything, surely can't sneeze fire, bit i got nothing against the glowing eyes : )
Can't we consider the spartan-like spear-wielding Trogs to be kewl? : )

As for me trogs are not cool. They look like a bag with potatoes .

Diamond Golem; great attack/defense/health (for a fifth level creature) and the Golem spell dmg reducing ofc which is almost 100%.

In my opinion, the Dread Knights are by far the coolest creature in the game. When you see them, you learn to fear them. When they deal double damage, they deal double the unhappiness to you as a player besides the extra damage to your creatures. And they are the only level 7 creature which shows up as level 6 for some odd reason.
As for usefulness and coolness at the same time, I'd say Royal Griffins with the buff of your choice (I prefer expert prayer). They aren't a level 3 creature. They aren't just a flying stack. The Royal Griffins are the USAF of Heroes 3, period.

Uh? They may be one of the best level 6 units besides queens, but against which (upgraded) level 7 they could compare?
