Great, but:

1.Isn't it too big?
2.I don't think it's in HoMM3 style.

1) It is supposed to replace a 2 hex creature. However I can't actually see it in game, still trying, so I have no idea if it is too big. It is my first try.
2) HoMM style? We are not in HoMM forums, but WoG. And WoG is any style

I agree with hobbit if it doesnt look like belongim to the rest of homm4 or wog greatures it would look out of place. that would be a shame given the hours spent on it

This is plain wrong. A database of completed .defs actually would give a large choice for selecting a new scenario theme. I mean if someone wants to create a Might and Magic oriented scenario, then the creatures which belongs to HoMM would be wrong, and he will need new sprites. If someone want to create a scenario about Roman Empire, then using gargoyles/dragons would be weird too.

More sprites we have, more we can do.

Salamandre is absolutely right. We don't need any more pink mutant devils, just defs which can be usable in maps and mods.

BTW, how about 24/32-bit color depth?

You can't go deeper than 256-colour. Also only the first ten colours must follow the indexed pattern - everything beyond those can be any colour at all.

Open a frame or image from any other Heroes III bitmap and check their palette to see what I mean.

meh wouldn't call it  THAT hard. its just annoying. you know how to create a patch file right? just insert the def in. if the game crashes in battle once you do it there could be 3 reasons:
1. something wrong with animations - frames are missing or such.
2. pallates don't match
3. def isent good.

No really?

1) The animations are perfect
2) Palettes does not match, thats my nightmare, as I don't know how to fix them. Darkloke sent me a custom palette but it deleted all my colors and the creature is not viewable
3) Def is perfect

The game does not crash, only the creature is showing exactly as in Def tool window, it means surrounded by the teal background.
Yes it is hard...the first time

Actually that wasnt the "real" palette - just a set of fixed colors which should be applied BEFORE creation of actual palette.

Yes I understood it after seeing what was my error: creating again 0.255.255 background colors after each modelviewer crash. I forgot it and lost 2 days.
