Ah and yet another good thread about to be destoyed by the always interesting Beavis and Butthead-discussion: "Randoms suck - No, they don't"

No they don't..
IF someones fixes things like: utopias,relics,DD OFF , make sure we wont meet week1, landlocks etc etc.
in short, if heroes-encounters.50megs.com tourney was still running, i would STILL play it.
conclusion:
Yes they do

conclusion:
Yes they do
Topes and relics can easily be banned now, DD cant be removed unless you edit the map.
Thats why most ppl play "no DD" though.

welll you can
just use the h4util thingy, it makes randoms. if the randoms have problems (i.e. passability or something) it tells you.

either im dummy, or RMG file dont have proper use instructions..maybe both.
fact is, i see noone playing or even talking about it in GS room.
so, what exists of slava work so far, is him gaining more programming exp and feeling the joy of creativity.

Sir Stiven is right, have a look at the custom template Panic. There is no chance of a relic on map or utopia. Maybe once in 50 games u will get a relic from a tomb, that is it.
Custom templates have got rid of many of the problems that exist in 3do templates provided with H3.
Very rare to have a restart now.

I think what is needed is both more coverage of the tool and much clearer instructions on how to use it. Many people don't even know what a command line is, let alone how to use it. Maybe I should write a section in my multiplayer FAQ and then get it along with the RMG mentioned on the front page, whaddya reckon Ves?

How do I make random maps using the h4util & H4Runner?
And Also
@ Joel I put the h4util in H4Runner folder on my desktop. then I go to the Windows Start menu and click RUN,then Browse until I get "C ocuments and SettingsDeborahDesktopH4Runnerh4util.exe" then add -wr4 to the end and hit enter. I get a message windows can not find file. What am I doing wrong?

Hi johnnycage I don't know the answer toy our question but just to let you know (and it may not matter) most of the posters in this thread are no longer here. Maybe someone else will see your question and answer but it wouldn't hurt to try another related thread in the heroes of might and magic 4 section.
