Exactly. I am really taken back by how rude these so-called veterans are. Yes, you know how to beat a computer game, big deal.
And Xar, his posts contain nothing but insults (notice his liberal usage of the keyword "BS").
But apparently this kind of behavior is not only tolerated, but also ENCOURAGED BY THE MODERATOR. Hello? Are we missing something big here?
Makes me wonder ...

Well, it's easy: there are always a lot of threads started by guys who beat the computer and than think they should state here how good they are by stating rediculous tactics.
I delete most of these threads, cause library needs to have a certain standard.
But I'll keep one thread open as long as it doesn't turn into a bash-fest.
And beside the arrogance of Zordrac and the rudeness of Xarfax this thread can serve as a kind of wastebin for:
a) everyone who think they are God cause they beat the ever-repeating-their-moves-AI
b) everyone who wants a good laugh at that.
As for me being a mod: sure I'd rather have nothing but solid discussions in here about real tactics, but there is no stopping silly threads like these. So the old saying goes: If u can't beat them, join them.
And feel free to ask me to close this thread if u r in any way offended by it.

no not offended,but i think that u ae very rude. and this thead is not a waste bin- i just want to know some tactics on dungeon, also if you think that you will push me down cause your a mod your a fool, some day ill have to play you and get my respect,and the no more noob calling,cause i havent played online i want 1on1 and 1 min turns on a small on layer map on imposs. and we both play random towns and heroes ok with you... ...this is not to offend but to re-lay thoughts.

I think if YOU'RE calling someone a fool YOUR best chances are not to mix up you're and your.
But relax a little mate, no-one is pushing u down.
Look how the thread started: u asked for tactics, some1 brought up tactics that only work against AI and someone commented on that. No big deal.
Maybe next time u should state that u want tactics for a Single Player game, that might help.
And imo if someone has played Heroes since the start (like me, Xar, Andi and most certainly Lews) and found out that after they played for years and years on SP that MP was a whole different ballgame, I think u can at least take notice of that. Since we have been on both sides and u didn't.

As allways, I will state my opinion...
(although not everyone is happy about it...  )
I can't say anything to a moderator, it that case Kuma, cuz he does a great job here, GrunanCross. Can you even imagine how is hard to be a mod nad control these type of threads ? And members ? They are allways unhappy and unhappy. When you are posting something try to be polite and not offencive. As for so called Experts, you can allways report the insultive posts to Kuma. If you don't want to, you can report them to Hexa or Valeriy and ask for justice. And as for your behaviour towards the mods, I hardly beleave, that you'll become a moderator someday.

ill not treat a mod like someone speical when it come to op's but i highly respect them but will not shy back from hold my word same as i would to anyone else...as i stated that i was not to offend but to show.

also to add x's op where nothing but bs....that tactics that z. gave sounded good but to say that is bs or something to that is tossing...so if you try to re eval your self and make your post sound like they ehere helping,its not going to work while i respect your gameing abl. and mod status i think that the fact everyone has the right to make an op on the tactics without getting tossed at,but not only did you not stop this you where right there in the mix...i think that i may be a noob, but i will NOT let you call me a bad player till you've played me so we need to have us a game. and then if i win you shall give me the status that i want and deserved from the get go to speak as equals, i think that all skill lvls is important. and who in the end realy cares if you beat 1,000 other people online...you've yet to beat me..Tim

Instead, I'll tell you a story. Yesterday I was online (zone & icq) in the evening. No messages. No GunanCross. No zordrac. Talked with Kuma who was there too, who didn't notice any of you either.
The thing I don't understand is, how can you expect to be taken seriously if you a) post stuff like the one I quoted and b) don't show the least effort to put your money where your mouth is? It's not us who have to prove something (we're even providing advice about strategies "that work" & internet problems).

random: ok
small: not ideal - meeting too early usually. medium would be better
1 min: I need at least 2 min - if you want to use the techniques mentionned above (e.g. chaining), you'll need them
random town/hero: of course - picking is for sissies

Small no-uns are fun . I remember playing a random WOG map against I (double movement, prebuilt grails), with me Necro (Galthran as main), him Stronghold (Crag Hack as main  ). I didn't bother buying an extra hero, I crushed him week 1 or very early week 2 (dun' remember) with around 140 skellies :].
Random small maps = a chance for n00bs to win lol.

And I suggest that our beloved veterans () start a thread like "The Strategist's Glossary", where you'd explain terms like TP special, chaining () and many others, which many not-so advanced players don't know yet. Would be nice to have that knowledge gathered in one place, huh?

here it is 11:25 AM, so I'm 7 hours in front of you. If you want Saturday (May, 3), I can only offer the afternoon (3PM = 8AM for you). I have to leave at about 6PM though. Sunday (May, 4) I've got more time, maybe you want that one?
Make sure you got the latest patches - 1.4 for RoE, 3.2 for SoD or even better 4.0 (Complete), so we don't waste time wondering why it doesn't work. You might want to visit

lol, maybe we should clarify something first.
Question: you get new troops in your castle(s) - how do you get them to your main hero?
a) you return home with main hero every time you want new troops
b) you use other hero(es) to bring them to main
If your answer is b) you are "cheating" (chaining) yourself. If answer is a), oh well...
