girls play games, my sis used to play heroes 2 with me and heroes 3, but shortly after heroes 3 came out we stoped playing cause she decided she would CREATE MAPS!!!! arghh wouldnt be so bad if she was better at it or at least saved them!!! arghh so much time she was on the computer making maps i lost all my skills.

how can you stand letting her create maps while you watch her...you should take over your computer...or if you have 2 you should trick her to play with you...or is your sister older than you?

i have spied on my sister playing Diablo..and i must say she isnt bad at all...but she screams when she is beaten...she gets hysterical...she wont stand a long heroes fight.

Hy! For start I am Sick Boy girl friend. Dont get offens but I am sorry for your sister.
I play Heroes for the last 4 years and I can get enough of it. In the begining I love Heroes because there was so many colours, animals, mits and legends. Durring the time I become a Heroes addicted. Any one who was so polited was persuaded by the stories of Heroes that I toled. My studying has suffered because of Heroes.
Today I can say that I am almost a Grand Master !!
Whell now you can say that you know 2 girls who plays Heroes!

First of all I'd like to know why mandybug1982 has a post count at negative eleven.
Secondly, I tried to get my wife to play Baldur's Gate with me a very long time ago. But she started to argue with me like this:
Jennifer: "You just bought your swords and stuff?"
Me: "Yes Dear."
Her: "What are those? Are they cows?"
Me: "Yes Dear."
Her: "Where do we go now?"
Me: "There's no set direction that we absolutely are required to go. We can walk around and talk to people or we can simply go over here and kill these cows."
Her: "What? Why do you want to kill the cows? With your sword? You bought your sword so that you could kill cows? You aren't required to do anything so you kill these cows? Are they evil cows?"
Me: "No Dear, they aren't evil cows."
Her: "Then why are you going to kill the cows?"
Me: "Because it's fun sweetheart."
Her: "Why do all the women in this game have such large breasts?"
I rest my case.

obviously you can't make so grand a statement as "girls don't play these games" because there are obviously women who do, and some of them are just as good (or better) than the men who do.
I will say, when I play heroes 3 hotseat with my buddy (who lives with 2 women, and several more stop by the house periodically), they often complain that we pay more attention to the game than we do to them...heroes3 is not their game...big whoop, I don't think there's any sort of exhalted position in being great at strategizing a bunch of imaginary heroes and creatures.
These same girls kick my butt at Mario Kart (I don't know what it is about that game in particular, but I have met many girls who are ridiculously good at it).
The game market is still, after all of these years, much more oriented towards men than women. That doesn't mean making games that feature barbie or ponies or getting your nails done will become "girl games"...women are often looking for a different kind of gaming experience. Not to generalize, but I've found that a lot of women prefer games that have more of an emphasis on puzzles (eg tetris) or life simulation and community (eg the sims).

I am not sure you will get a response, the thread is a bit old. More and more females are getting the attention and credit they do deserve. Some of the worlds best professional gamers are female. So as they play more and get more attention, games will no longer be identified with only men.

COMING ONTOPIC: I really don't know any game which is exclusively made for men,but I'm happy that the girls play games and I'm sure most of them are much better at some games than boys.Anyway,I saw often a girl (or more) at the leaderboard of a game,I mean top 10,top 100 etc... (I'm not talking about minigames with the leaderboard,I'm talking about all of the games)
