Heroes Communicaiting

Well I think that Heroes should be able to communicate with creautures in there towns and also be able to bribe other netural creatures.  Also I think that we should be able to communicate with the enemys town if they are on are map here are my ideas



Heroes Communicating:  I think we should be able to threat, bribe, comparmise with enemy heroes and there towns.  Like if we wanted there town and we also needed reasources you could offer them a choice of being vanished or they could become allys and pay tributes( reasources, gold, creatures) instead of being defeated also to had more hareder they could rebell from tribute by challeging you to battles to stop paying.  I also think there should be spys in HOMM.  These are my ideas on that reply your ideas and I will write my other ideas about communicating with creatures later

Well this good be a good idea with some improvements this like a fantasy game so you should have like a new creature that delevers these messages to the towns otherwise i like the idea of giving your opponent a twist of there own fate lol

that IS a good idea, and will be if theres a new creature that delievers the messages like TheBlack Dragon posted before... anyway i can see what that would look like right now... anyway, in Lords Of The Realm 2, they have that, and the other towns write back to you the next day....

Also Raging Titan for communacating with creatures are you thinking of like somehow with a artifact being able to give orders without you controlling them

...I also think you should be able to torture and interrogate the other heroes if you capture them...but do they all speak the same language, anyway?

Why not add a whole diplomacy system?

When you first meet an opponent, you can negotiate with them to sign a peace treaty or you can just attack them, and enter a state of war.  You can sign alliances, which would let you force an ally into any wars you enter.  Yo can extract tribute from smaller nations so they can preserve their existence.  You could meet with other nations to trade resources.  C'mon, what do you think?

That would be nice instead of always having to battle there weak armys you could ask them things for bribes and things Also what about deeds as Raging Titan that you put in my other thread tell them about that

I, too, have contimplated this idea for Heroes. Allieing with enemy players, breaking alliances, making other players pay homage, etc. It would add a whole new strategic point to the game. The closest you get to that in Heroes III is diplomacy and writing messages to other players, but it won't do anything unless they're human players. Computer players can only be threatened, and they don't listen at all.

Well I think that maybe heroes actually speaking to creatures through the aftifact would be okay but not all that fun.


Example;  You tell your creatures to attack a town without orders by you or spells.  They have a possible slacking area and no additionial help from you although it would work for weak towns

Deeds my idea

Here are my ideas on Deeds

Deeds:  This would work well with the new diaplomic idea that somebody had in this thread.  Well after bribing you ally for things you should also be able to ask them for Deeds.  Such as getting a neatural creature out of you If your to lazy to battle them ( LIKe ME ) or to gather reasources and send them to your town so you can up-grade also you and your ally could help you personally attack and opponets terriotory.  These are my ideas

This works better in games like civilization where there are very specific win victories like defeating all your enemies or building a structure.  In Heroes having allies would be wierd.  2 players?  How would you win?  If the goal is to kill a monster, do all the allies win or just who kills it?  It's a great idea, but I just don't see how it could work with certain win situations!

The more people that play, the more like Survivor it would be.  "Okay, we will form an alliance, then when we kill all the other players we will kill each other!"

Most of these ideas are in aoe are you sure you want heroes to borrow even more ideas from them? (since some people did say if its like aoe they wont buy it)

There's a difference between good AoE-type stuff and bad AoE-type stuff.

Bad: Isometric, armies withot heroes, having to build mines over resources.
Good: Diplomacy, the one thing missing from HOMM3.

Hmmmmmmmmm,
I don't think every town should could be able to speak with each other...
Because I don't think the humans want to have peace with the necromancers...Just a guess...
