Gosh... What I meant was:
1. I would be glad to kick your arse using Gurnisson/Stronghold in a random WOG3.57f map.
2. The only thing that's stopping me is a firewall - know what that is?
3. A Tower player would be happier receiving Neela as first hero by random, than a Necro player receiving Nimbus.
Am I really that hard to understand?

Tower Weak???
You guys all say the Tower is weak. Whats up with that? The Tower is the Best! Gremlins can shoot ok but they make good bait. Gargoyles are fast and can cause some damage. Iron Golems are just killing machines, they are unstoppable.Magi make spells really cheap and they are pretty powerful. Genies die easy but they can cause damage and put some niffty spells on your people. Nagas are fast, tough, and have no retailton. Titans are the most Powerful creatures, just put bless on them  . Get Solymr or Astral as your heroes and get ready to kick ass. Tower Weak? No No No Tower is the best.

Yeah well. I tend to agree that tower is kinda weak. When you face your opponent in a large battle you will suffer badly from having relatively slow troops. Most other towns have faster troops and will thus get the first spell. If that is mass haste you may just find all of your troops attacked before you can move. Most likely your magi will be blocked, your genies will die and Solmyr will have a hard time casting that chain lightning without hurting his own troops.
When facing another magic hero, such as a warlock you could be in even more trouble. Your Titans get imploded and the dragons move in and cause 150% damage. Most likely you will have lost most, if not all, of your titans before it is your turn.
That said, I like playing tower. Two flyers and three shooters makes for a versatile force. If you can grab an archangel or similar to get that first spell advantage things will swing overwhelmingly in your favor.

about two years ago i made a report so i could see which is the best castle...and if a remember corectly the first four were:Tower,rampart,castle,dungeon!

The best town? Shoot me, but in most circumstances I'd say it's the Conflux, hehe. That's why most players use a no flux rule anyway. 7 speed unupgraded fodder (9! upgraded), very powerful storm elementals (god knows they love bless  ), freaky ice elementals... and who cares if lvl 4 and 5 suck when you've got magic immune multi attack, no retal level 6 creatures and 4 level 7's (hahaha, 4 level 7's!! ) lol.
My personal favorite town is Stronghold, or Rampart on randoms.

Conflux is great!
Shoot me too, but I agree with Nidghrin that Conflux absolutely rocks! Double Phoenixes, cool magic and powerhouse elementals and elementalists boom out any opposition (maybe only castle and dungeon forces will show any real resistance against a full blast Conflux army).
Having said that, I think Dungeon rocks too.

How long will it take to make 7k skeletons? You'd probably need more than 15 months to make such an army and not only that, you have to kill more than 2,000 creatures each month constantly without losing a single skeleton.
By that time, the necropolis would already have lost if it didn't get its horde going in the first two weeks, and considering its poor lower level creatures and high prices of dwellings (VL's are the first decent necro unit), it will be very difficult to make such a thing if you don't have enough Dread knights and VL's to obliterate stronger armies.

on XL random, 7k skels in less than 2 months. Once a hero like Isra or Vido hits higher level, with necro amp and maybe a necro artie, a 300 imp cache can become 240 skels.

It's true that all towns are balanced, but I find Rampart towns the most fun to play with. Grand elves are great ranged creatures because they take two shots per attack and can do a lot of damage. I also like War Unicorns (blinding is cool) and Golden Dragons very much. Dendroids, although terribly slow, are really useful creatures in large quantities. They're very strong and their damage is good.

NO NO NO.Fortress is the best.The Mighty gorgons knocks down all lv 7s and the hydra takes on all lv 1-3.The Wyvern are good for poisoning and the basilisk good for petrifying.The serpant flies give weakness and the lizardwarriors are average shooters,can last long.The gnolls come in decent no.s and are not bad at all.
Fortress,I believe have the best special abilities.Their creatures are awesome especially that mighty gorgon and hydra.
Fortress all the way!Necro all the way! All the rest of the towns are useless!! Except maybe castle and conflux

Donīt you think that it mostly depends on the size of the map?
On small or middle size, the "mighty"-towns (stronghold and fortress) are very hard to beat, because the units ar cheaper and the buildings donīt cost that much resources.
If you play tower, sometimes you have to collect hard, to build your magies (5 of all res.!).
But if the mapsize goes to large or xlarge and finally to xlarge with underground, the "magic"-towns get their chances too.
If you got more time, you can collect more, build more (especially your mageguilds up to lev5..) and your lev7 units are now also available for you (titans ar very hard to get, īcause they are very expensive, arenīt they?).
So my conclusion is
Small map : stronghold, fortress
Middle map : fortress, stronghold, necro
large map : necro, castle
xlarge map : conflux, rampart, dungeon
For inferno and tower i have to say, that i donīt think they are better than the towns mentioned above in every special map-size
