Hi Mysia! Glad you were able to join the Community! This is the same thing that happened with Lupin, everyone - I got him to join, and now I got Mysia to join, too!

Well, while I'm on this thread, I might as well post the creatures I think should go:

1.Pit fiends/lords (they're very annoying and they scratch their butts too much)
2.Walking dead and Zombies(absoulutely no use for them)
3.Scorpicores(unless they make them more powerful)
4.Nomads
5.Titans!(of course, you knew I'd say that)

I agree, the Phoenix looked best in H2, and I don't like their look in H3 and H4.

About the CH and AA discussion, I guess it depends on how you play the battle. Someone like me would stay at the back lines and wait for the opponent to come closer so I can attack them. Notice that Archangels are one of the very few units that can reach the other side of the battle field in one turn.. Until Phoenix entered the scene anyway. CH will take a while to reach the other side (I believe they're the slowest of the L7 units). And while it's true that weaker HP units can be resurrected later, it does take a while before your mage guild gets the Ressurect spell, and your hero gets Expert Earth Magic. And don't forget Archangels have an innate ability to Ressurect as well.. I usually split them into two stacks so I can have two resurrects per battle.

I rarely found myself playing any castle other than Wizard or Warlock in H2, or Castle in H3, simply because of stats. Sure Wizard and Warlock are only useful in large maps which take time.. that just meant I only played large maps, and no smaller ones suitable for Knights and Barbs (except a few campain maps).

Hmmm....

I don't know why you all hate peasants so bad? I love the little fellas! They're so darn cute and loyal and they add the feeling of places beeing inhabited by humans.

I also believe that creatures should be appreciated for their uniqueness and integrity rather than how good they perform in the game (that's another discussion). Stats can always be fixed. It's the creatures that you feel disrupt the "tone" of the game, the creatures that don't fit in, that makes you go "What the **** is that thing doing in this game!"

The creatures I would like gone are:

Behemoths - just don't like 'em.
Lizardmen - come on!
Dragonflies - blah!
Wolf riders - wolves can never be tamed, nor ridden!
Vampires - they're not very fantasy-like, to my judgement, or, I don't know, I definitely don't like them as in HOMMIII
Nagas - Snakelady with many arms holding scimitars? yuck


Well, those are all I can think of for now, maybe I'll add some more later on.

Creatures who must stay (for the sake of atmosphere):

Halflings - Tolkien is the greatest writer ever to have lived, make no mistake about it, and his legacy is so tremendous that I seriously doubt anyone can imagine what a sad, dreary world this would have been if not for him. We owe him all.

Peasants - for the mood of the game. Plus they're so darn cute!

Boars - without the riders, like in HOMM II. A wild boar can be ferocious!

Rouges - no fantasy universe is complete without, thieving, stealing, lying scoundrels!

Nomads - as long as there are deserts, there will be nomads!

Mages - without them, there wouldn't be any magic!

Human-based creatures - we need something to identify with, humans are a must! I also think they should be spread around more, since all humans aren't living in castles, but some are raging barbarians, and some are living in forests alongside elves and such, and others again are meddling in the business of arcane magic, and some are plain evil. No need for an all-human town, I think.

Unicorns - should be rare, though, a once-in-a-lifetime encounter (well, not that rare, but you get the drift, right?)

Elves - obviously. no further comment needed.

Dragons - the very regents of the fantasy realm!

Minotaurs - they were the positively coolest unit in HOMM III! Oh, I just adore them.

Well, that's it for now. Btw, I really like the fairy dragons, kind of a high protector of the fairies or something !
