Horsemen of the Apocalypse
I think the horsemen of the apocalyse should be included in some way, either in campaigns or as units.
For those of you who don't know, the 4 traditional horsemen are, in order from weakest to strongest:
Pestilence, Famine, War, and Death.
If they were to be included, I think that a fith horseman (This idea's from Pratchett), Kaos (Chaos/Fire) should be in there too.

the problem is there are 4 horsmen, not 4 goups of horsemen, besides even the weakest would have to be incredibly strong, maybe it would be a hero that you can only have in the campanaing, or save in a prison. (although i dont know how you could imprisson death)

If anything, they would fit excellent as residers of the Pandoras box.

Perhaps summoning spells of extremely high level that are only availible in campaigns, Quests, Boxes, etc. (But not shrines or Mage Guilds) could summon their powers, but not the riders themselves?
Summon Pestilence
SP 100
MAX Lvl Combat Spell (No align.)
Pestilence appears on the field and sends a cloud of locusts loose. The locusts obscure enemy sight, so ranged attacks and spells/potions cannot be used, pikemen cannot attack from 1 yard away, speed -50%, -25% Attack/defense, and -5 Luck
Summon Famine
SP 125
MAX Lvl Combat Spell (No align.)
Famine apears and drains energy from opponent monsters/heroes, causing -5 morale, -75% speed, -50% Attack/defense, flyers cannot fly, dragons do not have breath weapons.
ALSO:
SP 150
MAX Lvl Adventure Spell (No align.)
This is only if Energy-type buildings (Farms, etc.) are included
Famine destroys one Energy Building on the Adventure Map; OR Cast on an enemy town. Famine reduces efficency of Energy buildings (-50%) for remainder of week.
Summon War
SP 195
MAX Lvl Combat Spell (No align.)
War appears and adds +10 Morale and casts Bloodfrenzy on your warriors. He also gives -10 morale to enemy warriors and casts Mass Weakness on them.
Summon Death
SP 300
MAX Lvl Combat Spell (No align.)
Death appears and kills all enemies on combat field, but takes -5 morale from your units for the next 3 battles.
Summon Kaos
SP 500
MAX Lvl Combat Spell (No align.)
Kaos appears and sets fire to the field, and kills all units other that heroes lvl 50+. Terrain where the two opposing armies were is converted to Scorched Earth, for 2 squares around the terrain is converted to Volcanic, hot, and for 3 more squres around that the terrain is converted to volcanic, cool.
All of the spells above require the hero to sacrifice a Relic before they can be cast (Summon Death requires 2 Relics, Summon Kaos requires 3 Relics or the Grail.).

The Summon Kaos is very impresive, and I'd like to have it in my book. But that spell simply means the end of the game.(sort of quick combat with the option "always win" activated ).

In H3 some map scripts would take resources away from the player at some point or even periodically. Perhaps we could extend the concept and give the map maker the ability to inflict a penalty upon the player at any time.
The penalty would come in the form of a metaphorical visitation of one or more apolyptic horsemen:
Pestilence - Remove a creature dwelling from players town(s).
Famine - Remove some of the players resouces.
War - Destroy a players army that is outside a town
Death - Remove some of the players creatures.
This might be just one mechanism where the map maker can penalise the player for taking too long or making the wrong decision or any number of situations.

Um... Black Riders? No, they don't fit with this whole "Heroes of Might and Magic" (geez what a long name). What would they do? When you loose the come and cut your head off or something?

Maybe they could be special units...that would wonder the map...they wouldnt be recruitable....and if you could defeat such a creature you would get much wealth and maybe a scroll that allows you to summon it once!It would have to be a very powerfull creature...and when you summon it it can only stay alive for 2 weeks.

Um, no. Black Riders would be Nazgul (LotR). They have nothing to do with the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Anyway, I think the christians got it wrong. At least one rider has to be Retro, and one has to be Polka.
