Poll Question:
Best Magic

Just out of curiosity, which magic type do people think is the best out of chaos, nature, death, order and life?

My opinion would be that chaos whould be one of the best as it is the only magic type that has "decent" attacking spells. There is nothing more enjoyable than destroying a whole stack of creatures using implosion or chain lightning. Order are also quite good. When i play (as Asylm) i always have a might and a magic hero. I teach my magic hero chaos magic and my might hero basic or advanced order magic. This is a very good combination. I would like to hear other peoples opinions.

indirect spells are much more powerfull
Dragon strenght, sanctuary, hypnotyze, DI, blind ...
my vote , becaouse of sanctuary and DI, goes to life but nature and order are just as good.

order is the lord of magic's

... because it has the wickedest spells of all. while you (chaos) are destroying my cyclopses bit by bit with lightning bolts, one forgetfulness at your cyclopses makes them pointless. teleport to make sure creatures are where I like them to be. Or hypnotize your sorcerer and make him disintegrate your own guys... None can beat order that renders enemy army useless, no matter how big it is. Direct damage is only good when you are facing enemy that is so small it dies out of damage while trying to get to you. But what if you try to survive against MASSIVE army whose one hit at you would kill you forever? Here the only chance is ORDER and its ability to keep the enemy at distance, fighting amongst eachother.

For me, I have to say Order Magic is the best, followed by Life magic, which, I must say is far from useless.

life IS useless compared to death!even nature beats life!
order is great
but Chaos still rocks!
some ppl keep forgeting that its not totally made of direct damage!but the damage is a great thing to have!

one more noteI and sanctuary?no no,I always thought life is fine cuz of guardian angel!DI dun resurect creatures!!

I hate to say that, but

Order is overpowered.

2 Direct Damage spells ( only Chaos has more). Direct damage spells aren't really useful, because before you are able to cast say Disintegrate,  creature stacks are going to be Large.

Mass buffing spells (Mass Precision, Mass Blur, Steal All Enchantments)

Multiple ways to deal with ranged creatures (blur, precision, forgetfulness)

Multiple ways of dealing with melee creatures (slow, teleport)

To be exact, teleport, berserker, hypnotize, blind etc are all purpose spells. These are going to RUIN you if you don't have dispel.
Cowardice, Displacement...

For fighting spellcasters, mana drain, dispel, steal enchantment

Town Gate improves adventure movement, BUT also can be cast during battle ! Instant retreat without ANY lossess !

If chaos had Exorcism I would certainly vote for Chaos, because it has very powerful enchanting spells (Mass Misfortune,Bloodfrenzy, Mass Slayer, Cloud Of Confusion, Mass First Strike, Mass Speed, Cat Reflexes, nasty Magic Mirror (just try to cast Berserker on echanted creature, and you'll regret that).
That means you'd need 5+5=10 turns to fully enchant everything, (excluding magic mirror and cloud, assuming you have mighty Hydras). That's why I LOVE to have 2 sorcerors. If you are lucky enough to get Cloud Of Confusion, you may be able to easily defeat army of ANY alignment.
