Beyond Castles

I think in heroes IV, there should be a new structure that can only be built after EVERYTHING IN THE TOWN HAS BEEN BUILT!  This new structure could possibly be used to learn legendary spells or skills.  It could also be used to make legendary artifacts.  What do you people think?

Great idea

yeah man, thats coo, ur first idea is a good idea, or maybe this last structure could allow u to buy one ultimate creature, and u can only have one of them, but they do enough damage and take enough damage that their worth taking room in ur army, and like heroes in battles, these things would go to prisons or to be resurrected when they die in battle, cuz u should only get ONE of them

some examples

grim reaper
god

creatures that each castle may worship or some sh** like that

Do you remember that thread you started discussing this theme? You named it "Let the challenge remain more than the initial thirty minutes", or something like that. It will be useful for the new posters to read that thread, and also other I started named "The value of time".

I'm lazy enough to understand that is quite boring to explore and read all that pages if you have just arrived to the forum. So, if you can find that threads, please make a new post on them to make them pop up.

And for the previous posters, if Valeriy doesn't read this or has no time for posting you could search for that threads. They worth the effort, for sure.

Its a very good idea El_diablo. The ultimate creature!!!
It should be very powerful...like a level 20 hero or something. But its very hard to come up with 6 really cool legendary creatures, who is strong enough to be the highest.
Someone has a suggestion?

I support your idea. In a general manner, I support any idea that gives an extra value to completely building one or more towns, cos it will expand the time you enjoy developing your kingdom. For me, the fun of the game comes from three fronts: town building, hero developing and battle tactics.

An ultimate creature is only one of the prizes you could get when you totally build a town, and of course this prize could only be collected in the capitol (without the capitol, you haven't "totally" builded the town). There are other prizes: an ultimate artifact (specialized for each town), an ultimate spell...

The main objection to this idea has been mentioned several times (maybe Shae_Trielle said it in this thread, I don't remember): what's the role of the Grail if we have this new special prize? The Grial provides an spectacular advantage and it's customized to have different properties in different towns. Of course, a super-creature or a super-spell could be used in battles and will be more dynamic than the Grail bonuses, but maybe the requisites to get these superior bonuses should be more hard:

1.- Totally building the town and mantaining it unconquered during one month.

2.- Totally building three towns, with a capitol in one of them.

And what if you take an enemy capitol? Do you get his super-bonus or it dissapears?

I agree with you about the special conditions needed to achieve the special building, but the last one, if you conquer an enemys capitoltown and you already have a capitol, it dissapers you know. So then the new town isnt completely built.

Why does everyone want some "Ultimate Creature?"  So that you get to one point in the game, you get it, and you win because no one can stop you?  I'd like to see more creatures that are in the level range of the other creatures.  Having an ultimate creature is like having a cheat code.  Once someone uses it no one else will play with them, and it makes the game boring because you always win.  

I do like the building you get after you build everything else, but why a creature generator?  How about an upgrade to the Capital or Castle?  Why not a Mage Guild Level 6 or Improved Tavern.  I just don't see the point in making all these super creatures.  It's just like all those stupid super artifacts I keep seeing.


To make the building of the game last longer, you could increase the price of buildings, or create a wait period for building something after you have built it's prerequisite.  Or have so many creature dwellings flagged or something.  Why not give populations to the towns?  So when you reach a certain popuation you can build this or that?

oh sorry, i didnt know someone else had come up with that idea, well either way i think its a good idea, and sikmar, about taking an enemy capital, thats a very good point, i dont know how that would work, and gravdragon, homm and m&m creators have thought of hundreds of creatures for their games, so i think they would be able to think of six like gods, and i came up with 2 already, but then again arachnid said this wasnt my idea, well whatever, but arachnid what thread is this idea in, cuz i wouldnt of suggested it and taken credit for it if i didnt think it was my idea

It's me again, (i posted this).  To respond to all you people who think that my idea eliminates the grail, there's another solution.  Remember in heroes II where there wasn't the grail and instead there were ultimate artifacts.  Why not bring them back?  that way, we can have a grail structure AND ultimate artifacts.  I do agree though, that grail creatures are too powerful.  I like the idea of level 6 mage guild though!

peole, i just got a new idea.  How about this last structure be a summon that allows one of your units to cast a new spell.  Example: Titans cast a spell where thunder falls from the sky, Dragons breath a giant fireblast, or druids cast a protection spell!

what about this:
When your castle will be under atack, theLAST STRUCTURE will be like a creature that cant go, but it will have a realy grat pover! Then it will be dangeroer to atack a such castle!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great idea Death.  That would make that creature a guardian type creature.  That creature might get stronger according to how strong the attacker is.  Great idea!

hey death could finally have an Idea that's near sanity (it's amiracle) instead of a structure to build like u guys said, maybe a creature that can only be "recruited" once per castle history (even if later another team captures it) like  a god, for preserve it would be a nature god etc... or just a creature that will defend the castle (because having him with a heroe is too strong u can conquer the most pwrful wondering creatures but if he is already dead it would be virtually impossible)

and for SIKMAR you just have to go to today's posts and click======^=======search after typing the name in

Great Idea death.  Just one suggestion.  How about the creature gets defense for fortress, offense for stronghold, morale for castles, etc etc (or whatever the new castles are)  I think the creature should be able to survive too, as the units would crush it before it could attack.  I suggest stats increasing according to strength of opponent.

HELP!!!  I heard that armogedon's blade made fortress stronger and castle weaker.  Is there a way to get these changes WITHOUT having to buy the expansion (a patch?)?
