I happen to live in Castle Rock, Colorado, which gives my precision-guided laser arrow an almoust straight shot to Boulder. I'll stand on top of The Castle Rock, it's the big rock that the town is named after, and fire away.

For those of you who have been following this or have gotten involved, I feel it is only proper to tell you that Paul is not doing well. When we catch things like this as late in the game as Paul did, sometimes no amount of prayer and visualization can help. His liver is greatly involved and has quit working, and there's nothing the surgeons can do at this point.
He did know what we were doing, but he is losing his sense of awareness. I will tell you that one of the last things he was aware of was that people from all over the world were thinking about him, and it really had a deep emotional impact on him.
Thank you all once again for any thoughts and energy you can continue to send in Paul's direction. You are doing a very good thing.
My love to you all.

There are so many things I wanted to say, that I have not said to you.
But this is only for me, for you already know now.
Paul died this morning at 6:25 a.m. Boulder time.
He was surrounded by his extended natural and adopted family members.
He was greatly, greatly loved. We shall miss him.

When Paul first found out he had cancer, I sent a copy of me and my brother singing "Wind Beneath My Wings" (from the movie Beaches) that he (my brother)and I had recorded in a studio for my dad a few years back.
Come to find out it was one of Paul's favorite songs. Donna has now asked us to sing it at the service this Tuesday.
It is a profoundly lovely message from one friend to another. Here are the words:
