According to the dnd description, they must be immune to Blind (Darkvision) and have FIRST_STRIKE ability (surprise attack)

So, end of the year... happy new year for everyone!

I did a lot of changes to the mod structure to allow partial enabling, so starting now we will have way more submods and folders:

More heroes:
- vanilla heroes (the ones with no dependency at all)
- tok heroes (the ones depending on tok creatures, town, skill or spells)
- tow heroes (depending on MDT alternative mod)
- hota heroes (depending on hota mod and submods)
- andruids heroes (the ones depending on andruids pack)
- neutral classes (my alternative to the drifter mod)

The new classes are still using stolen material for defs, but I will render the new ones soon.
Some of the heroes mods still have no heroes, but I already added some.

More Skills
I have added Warding so far. A secondary skill to protect your creatures reflecting spells. 25%, 50%, 75% chances. In testing!

More Creatures
So far we have 7 new creatures: wendigo, shaman, gnome, and plague doctor from the old times...
and 3 brand new ones: Monk Loxodon, Tiranossaurus and Bugbear!

The old ones will be reworked, but for now, I will be adding support content to the new ones. The kobold is still in the animation step but should be the next one to join.

The Bugbear



Bugbear is a level 3 Stronghold creature, immune to Blind spells, and retaliates before being attacked. It is not possible to recruit it in the town, but maybe in the future, we can do something about it.

They are already available in the VCMI Launcher!

And the Kobold


Kobold is a level 1 Dungeon creature, sharing the same Dragon Nature as their big cousins. After attacking returns to the same spot, and hates pixies, sprites, gnomes, or other fey creatures.

Some time since the last updates, but I have at least something...

- Added a new secondary skill to More Skills
- Removed and reworked some heroes from More Heroes mod
- Added a new creature to More Creatures

I was playing with some secondary skills ideas. Added Evasion to the Ruins mod, then I selected three more ideas to test here: Endurance, Warding and Fame.



Endurance is more life to your units in combat;
Warding is a chance to send back magic targeting your creatures;
Fame is having more creatures available in your towns;

And... What is the new creature?

Orangotan



Currently, it is a level 3 creature native from Fortress, but they are not available in the town.
Has Mind Immunity and 25% less move cost walking outside roads.

The attributes, abilities, and the hero with Orangutan specialty are open to changes. The model is fully animated but still needs some polish (Oh, that messy hair)


Let me know what you think guys.
Which secondary can stay, or have to go forever... Then we bring more ones to test.
And what about the Orangutan?

First of all, I'd like to say that it's great that you're developing this mod, because it's a nice change.
As for the mod itself, a bit after testing.

The first thing is the orangutan. To see it in the game or editor, first of all, you need to correct the files, or change the sprites folder to "orangutan", because it is "orangotan", or in the config file, change all entries with graphics to "orangutan/adventure. def" etc.
The unit itself is ok, although I don't know what capabilities it could have.

Another and, in my opinion, one of the most interesting units is the Kobold.
Unfortunately, there is no animation [apart from the mouse-over animation], and there is also no graphics on the map [it is replaced by peryton]. However, looking at the graphics themselves, especially in this thread, they are very interesting, but it would be nice to increase them a bit, at least to the size of an imp, because now they are definitely too small in combat and you can't see much.
However, technically, his ability to plant mines does not work.

Loxodon, generally ok, except that it is a 2-hex unit, but in the files it is as one, so just replace "doubleWide": false" with "doubleWide": true" and it will be ok.

Plague Doctor, neither death ripple nor cure spells work for him. Adaptation needed to the new version of VCMI.
Apart from that, the model is nice, but a bit small and could be enlarged a bit.

Wendigo, in the new version, does not appear at all, neither in the game nor in the editor. There must be something wrong with the files, although I haven't noticed what. However, in previous versions, it worked normally. You probably changed something, or a comma or something is missing. Either way, it was one of the nicer and more interesting units. So once it works again it will be ok.

The other units seem to be ok and work as they should.
Although I don't know about Bugbear, it would be better if it had mouse-over animations, some kind of roar towards the opponent to show his ferocity more. But overall it's ok.


The second thing is the abilities and the idea itself is interesting.
But the Fame ability does not appear in the game or in the editor at all.
Warding seems ok and quite interesting, but I haven't had time to use it much, but it works.
Endurance, however, also works, but a bit too much. Well, it increases the HP, but not only of the Ruins unit, but of everyone, not only the player, but also the opponents, and it probably shouldn't work that way. However, if it was assigned only to the hero's ruin units with this ability, or to such a hero's army in general, then it would be a useful ability.


And the last thing, heroes.
I think any interesting hero with missing specialties is always a nice addition. However, there are exceptions. Well,

I don't understand the location of the hero Prince in the castle. This hero is from goblins and has goblins as his starting army, so it somehow relates to the human faction. If it's supposed to be a campaign character or for specific maps, it's ok, but for regular ones, it's not a very good idea.

I also don't know if Lorme is needed, as there is already a death ripple heroine. Unless it's a deliberate attempt to make it more.

Melaunchalot, like Prince, I don't really see him belonging to the castle. If it's just for testing, it may be, but if an endurance specialist for Ruin units is to be in the castle, it doesn't make much sense. Especially since it's a goblin.

Ventura, has the wrong specialty description. It should be Plague Doctor, but the description says Loxodon.

The remaining heroes seem to be OK, at least in terms of their abilities, because I haven't tested all of them in action.

I' m still figuring out this one. I wanted some tricky one, like Louie from M0gli, but still thinking about it.

Oh boy. I had him animated for months, just didnt added to the mod. My mistake.

Lets increase him then. About the ability, I will rework along his upgrade version. You will like that.

For me is already there. Dont know if was not pushed. Let me check.

Need some rework indeed. I like very much the model. I did from scratch and was cool ot make, but I have lost the .blend file. So I need to redo the model, and I had no time right now. Maybe in some months.

I removed the wendigo inclusion in the mod, because the new version was added to the Ruins town. But I kept the files along this one. Just need to uncomment the mod.json with the wendigo line inclusion.

We can work on the Bugbear over action for sure. All the animations I did rushing. For all the creatures, but I can go back and redo, no problem at all. Let me try some Roar then.

This should be only for your creatures. Need to check that. Makes no sense giving the bonus to the enemy.

Lorme and Venture merge into Lorme with Plague Doctor specialty.

The Endurance should work not for Ruins creatures, but your army. I will take a look. Melaunchalot is a joke with a Lancelot Knight and goblin in the ranks. Is a goblin knight hard to die. I do like goblins, very much.

@LordHawk Thanks a lot for all your complains, suggestions, testing... and everything. I'm not having the time I wanted to work in the mods, test and... be creative, so I really appreciate your words.
I fixed everything as possible, and for sure I can add/remove/change thing. It is all for the community, so thanks you guys, and I hope you guys enjoy my small contributions.
