*Mighty Mage walks up to join Dean as he watches for any sign from his griffons.  Noticing a bit of tension Mighty Mage can only assume that RSF is getting on his nerves.*

Mighty Mage:  He'll get to you.  That is a certinty.

Dean:  If he wasn't such a crucial part to this right now I'd sick a dragon on his ass.

Mighty Mage:  You don't think I'd do the same...well minus the dragon.  The pshycopath tried to kill me in order to gain more powers.  He just doesn't care.  I garuntee that he's thinking right now how to turn this around for himself.  If I didn't know any better I'd even think he was thinking of a way to use the Forsaken Ones to...I don't know.  You think he would really go so far as to take over the world?

Dean:  I trust him about as far as I can throw him.  I really wouldn't put it past him.  That's why I suggest we keep an eye on him.  Demios is to trustworthy.  He knows that RSF is trouble but he can only see the good in him.

Mighty Mage:  Yeah, I noticed that too.  Oh, somthing I've been meaning to bring up.  Every time we get a chance to speak somthing is trying to kill us one way or another.

Dean:  So what is it?

Mighty Mage:  You remember that book we were checking out before the Unholy One attacked?

Dean:  Yeah...Oh shoot...What did I do with it?

Mighty Mage:  Don't worry about that.  We can go after it later if we need to.  Any way, the pictures, that's what caught my interest.  Obviously the book was old because how else would anyone know what they looked like?

Dean:  Yeah, so...

Mighty Mage:  So what I'm saying is that they are probably pretty acurate.  If I remember correctly I believe we saw one the creatures with a weapon.

Dean:  I don't remember any weapons.  I do remember the big one with the huge claws.

Mighty Mage:  Those were the weapons.  If you looked closly at them you would notice that they were attached to a glove of some sort.  I think just as the mages had the crystals the Forsaken Ones had weapons of their own.

Dean:  That Katar that the Unholy One had.  You think that was one of them?

Mighty Mage:  Probably.

RSF:  How interesting.  So not only do we have crystals that contain quite a bit of power but now we have Dark Weapons as well?

Dean:  Oh RSF...how NICE of you to join us.

RSF:  I'm a mage to.  I believe I'm entitled to hear what's going on.

Mighty Mage:  This is official gaurdian business.

RSF:  I had a crystal.  Doesn't that make me a gaurdian?

Mighty Mage:  Not really.  You took the crystal from the summoner who was the real gaurdian.

Dean:  He didn't take my crystal.

Mighty Mage:  Not you, a different summoner...long story.  Any way, I have my crystal because I'm a gaurdian.  My father was a gaurdian, my gradfather was a gaurdian.  You see what I'm saying?  Dean, as far as I know was granted gaurdianship because no one possesed the Ice Mace at the time.  Most likely the origional gaurdian never had children so they decided to give it to Dean.  Now he's a gaurdian and if he has any children than the first born will be a gaurdian.

Dean:  Wow...I'm a gaurdian now?

Mighty Mage:  Yes.  The council never just gives somthing like that up unless they really trust the person.

RSF:  Stupid Council.  They never understood my talent.  Thay can all rot in the depths of an inferno.

Demios:  Actually that doesn't sound too bad.

Dean:  You're a magog.  Of course that doesn't sound too bad.

*So the three waited.  They waited for any sign of the angel.  The angel that could in fact be of great concern.  If he was really under the Unholy One's spell than they would have to break it.  With his reserecting powers combined with the Unholy One's Necromancy, the Forsaken ones could walk the earth again...sooner than any would want to think.*

MM gave Deimos a hard stare.
MM: Would you like to repeat that?
Deimos: Why not?
Dean: Deimos! What is it with you?
Deimos: Commander Wolfman's command still stands. He said, "Kill any Order soldier or officer that comes your way." The only thing that kept me from killing Vadskye, and from killing RSF now, is the battle against the Forskaen Ones. Once it is over, Chaos will reunite and destroy Order!
RSF: Deimos. You need to cool off.
Deimos: Y o u  a r e  a n  O r d e r  o f f i c e r.

'Who is this Commander Wolfman?' I asked. 'I've been travelling with you people for weeks and you've never mentioned him before'.
I looked at MM, but he just looked back at me and shrugged, obviously he had never heard of the man either.
'So much for his too trusting nature', I murmured to MM.
Raising my voice I said to Deimos, 'Enough. If we are at eachothers throats when we catch up wih the Angel and the Unholy One then we don't stand a chance'.
Deimos hissed at me, baring his teeth.
'Oh, and who are you to be giving any kind of orders? Until a week ago you were just a bloody pet!'

Waves of rage washed through me at his words and I raised my hands, ready to call down lightning and put an end to this snotty creature.

'Enough!' roared MM, slapping down my hands. I winced at the shock of having my spell interupted, and rounded on MM, reaching for my mace. Before I could get it, he slapped me full across the face. My head spun and I realised why they called him Mighty Mage.
'Don't you see', I heard as my dizziness subsided. 'It's these damn crystals again. They're pulling the same mojo on you that they did back at the inn! We have to be extra careful, otherwise we'll end up killing eachother!'

With effort I tamped down my rage, breathing deeply. He was right, I would have to be on my guard against my own emotions.

'And how come you're unaffected?', drawled RSF.

'I'm not', snapped MM. 'Right now I'm boiling inside with the need to turn you into a cinder! But...', he took a deep breath.
'But. Elementalists must be in control of their emotuions at all times, otherwise they could affect their environment in a bad way. If I lost my temper, truly lost my temper in this forest. It could be raining fireballs and lightning before I knew what was happening. I lost control the first time I held one of these corrupted jewels, now I know what to look out for'.

RSF's face paled. I don't think he liked hearing that MM could kill us all with a stray thought. I didn't like it either, but I trusted MM. The Royal Order wouldn't have accepted him if he wasn't a true master at his craft.

'In that case', said RSF carefully. 'Now that we will all be on guard against our emotions. Should we continue in our search?'

MM nodded, and as he turned to face me he winked. Somehow I don't think RSF would be shooting his mouth off anymore.....

The Unholy One sits in his Masoleum. He waits for Gorman to return with the Land Opal. While he has no control over his powers trapped inside the Opal, his mere presence causes the group to fight amongst another. "I have no idea whether to trust gorman this time. But i doubt he will retrieve the land opal if he is planning on turning on me. Unless he is a fool. I Doubt that." He thinks to himself.
Sitting up from his throne, he suddenly feels a calling to the catacombs below the Masoleum. Oddly, he walks downstairs, looks around and finds nothing but dead bodies. "Hmm." He walks back upstairs, but the stairs crumbles beneath him. He stands up and looks around. "What is this place. I never noticed it before." He grabs a torch off a wall and begins walking. He comes into a wall with 4 sculptures on it, and a plaque on the ground. The first sculpture has a Horse with what looks like the hooded figure with a long scythe. "Death.." He looks at the next one, another horse. This time a heavily armored figure, covered in spikes and carrying a giant mace. "War.." The next one he looks at seems to be a horse again, with what looks like fleas frozen in midair, in the form of a humanoid shape. "Pestilence.."  The next one simply sits a skeleton on a horse. "Famine.." He reads the plaque on the ground.

"Here lie the 4 horsemen of the apocolypse. Imprisoned in the year 9042 CB(Just making it up). These 4 were the last of the Forsaken ones to be imprisoned. To ressurect them, the Unholy one must be present. If these 4 are ever released, they will wreak havoc on this earth. Attempts to destroy the statues have failed. Even the strongest magi cannot blast this simple limestone apart. It is held together by strong magics."

The unholy one glances at his name and grins wickedly. In all excitement, he cant figure out how to revive them. He attempts to revive them as he would an undead skeleton, or zombie. The statues glow a dark yellow color, and move slightly. "YES! I HAVE DONE IT!" then they fade again. "NO!" The unholy one realizes that he must have his full powers to ressurect something this great. "Damnit! Foolish mortals! Gorman better return soon!"

*while watching from behind the tree. I notice the group fighting amongst each other. I notice RSF playing with his jewel, narrowing my eyes in an attempt to see clearly what it is, I notice it's an Opal. Finally realizing who my target must be, I decide on waiting until nightfall to steal the jewel while they sleep. That way they won't know who took it or where they went off to. I suddenly hear flapping of wings overhead and glance up quickly to see 2 griffons flying in circles above the adventurers. They must be looking for me. I quickly duck into some extremely dense brush so that its nearly impossible to look out as it would be to look in. At least that keeps me safe from the griffons gaze. I slowly and silently move some branches to find where the others are. Still arguing, luckily, I suppose I'll just have to wait until nightfall*

RSF sighs and mumbles to himself.

RSF: (to himself) "If I was travelling alone I would already be there by now and much less irritated with all this immature bickering."

RSF: "It is getting late and we should begin to set up camp."

MM: "That is a good idea."

RSF: "Of course it's a good idea. It's one of my ideas. I will summon an owl familiar to help search for a safe camp. I'll have it report back to you guys, while I go search for firewood."

MM: "How about you give us the owl. If you try any funny business we kill the familiar."

RSF: "Do whatever you like, however I think cooperating with me it in your best interests. I haven't got as far as I have by making poor decisions."

The time mage disappears into the forest. Leaving the three men behind. A few minutes later, with an armful of kindling, RSF hears a rustling in the bushes. He turns around and sees Gorman charging from the bushes. RSF tosses the brush at Gorman blinding him, and then dodges out of the way from the mad Angel's momentum. Gorman goes flying past RSF and trips over a root.

RSF: "You fool! We could have captured the Unholy One right then and there. He would be slave to us as we speak. And you decide to save him, keep him alive on his own free will. Tell me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you. No don't I don't really care. First tell me what you think the Unholy One is going to do for you, so I can tell you that only a fool would make plans with such a backstabber. The only way he can be trusted if through bondage, to have absolute power over his actions and powers. But such is wonderful in theory, and is near impossible in practicality.

Edited By: Vadskye91 on 15 May 2004

Vadskye just run to get a hose for the gem when suddenly he saw an owl come swooping in, carrying a message.  Vadskye stepped aside to read it, confident that his allies could handle the gem.  It said,
Vadskye, help!  It's your brother, Zechelar! I have a brother?  Oh yeah, that kid.  Never did like him. I'm being threatened by bandits!  Please come quickly!  They're trying to take my house!

Vadskye thought for a moment.  The house he had was the family house, passed down from generation to generation for centuries.  He had to help his brother, even if just for the sake of the house.  Vadskye jumped out a nearby window and began traveling to his brother.  He lived many, many miles to the south, so it was a journey of several days.  He finally arrived and saw his brother running away from something.  Vadskye hurried over to him.

Vadskye: "What's going on?"

Zechelar: "The bandits are coming!  Help me!"

Soon a gang of men came around a bend in the road.  They were average sized in every respect, and Vadskye knew he could take them easily.  He cast Quicksand first, planting traps over the battlefield.  Then he used Enchant Weapon, so his daggers would fly true.  Most people would have run away seeing that they were fighting a mage, but these people were either too brave or too stupid to flee.  Vadskye threw his daggers, bringing them down one by one.  Finally there was but one remaining, and he fell into quicksand.  Vadskye turned to his brother.

Vadskye: "I think that's all."

Zechelar: "Thank you so much Vadskye!  I can never repay you."

Vadskye: "I did my duty, now I'm done.  I'm heading back to my allies now, farewell."

Zechelar: "Goodbye Vadskye!"

Vadskye turned around and started home.  This trip was faster, because he felt no need to conserve his energy to fight bandits.  On the night before he returned, he had a strange dream.

Vadskye opened his eyes to find himself sitting across from a person who was eating some fruit.

Vadskye: "Where the heck am I?"

Mysterious person: "With me."

Vadskye: ?!

Crook: "I am a god, and I go by the name of Crook."

Vadskye: "Okay Crook, why do you want me here?"

Crook: "My follower has helped the Unholy One.  Tell him I wish to speak with him."

Vadskye: "Who is this follower?"

Crook: "His name is Gorman."

Vadskye: "Gorman?!  I guess he is an archangel he has to have some god.  So you want me to tell him that you wish to speak with him?"

Crook: "Yes."

Vadskye: "But if I do your bidding, do I have to worship you?  Right now I'm and athiest, and I'd like to keep it that way."

Crook: "Very well.  You will not have to worship me, just do as I ask."

Vadskye: "Agreed.  But what do I get out of this?"

Crook: "We will discuss payment upon the completion of your task."

Vadskye: "I guess that'll work.  May I return to my friends so that I can accomplish my task?"

Crook: "Yes, and just so you know, this was a dream.  But it's very real."

Vadskye: "Okay.  Send me back now."

Vadskye suddenly awoke to daylight.  He knew he would do what Crook had said.  Right now though, he got up and started his final day of travel.  He found the group at dark, and they were all around a small fire.  Vadskye suddenly appeared out of the darkness.

Dean: "Vadskye?!"

Vadskye: "Yep, that's me!"

While pacing forth excitedly between the graves of the four horsemen, he senses an odd disturbance. Gorman is in trouble. But why does he know?? How???? Perhaps when i slit his wrist, he somehow magically bonded to me. Perhaps an Archangel trick is if they are wounded by someone, they bond with them in some way. Perhaps when i slit his wrist, my evilness reversed the spell around. Hmm. "Well..i guess i can send something out to help him." He looks around at the countless skeletons around him. Perhaps..hmm. Not all of them human. Even better. He raises his arms and every skeletal peice raises up. the bones begin to form some odd shape. When they are finished arranging themselves, the creature has 4 legs, 8 arms, 2 with extra sharp claws, 2 wings, multiple heads, the tallest and biggest head being that of  a dragon, a large tail, and thorns surrounding the chest, which is the weak point. "Nice work" he comments to himself. He looks upwards, he sends the Undead abominaton striahgt upwards then back down. Half the ceiling collapses, leaving rocks all over the place. Raising his hands once more, the rocks melt, and form a protective shell around the Abomination. He sends it after RSF to save gorman.

Deimos: Vadskye! What happened?!
Vadskye: I'll explain later. Do you have the crystals?
Dean: Yes.
A loud screech is heard. Then came a yell.
RSF: Help! Over here!
Dean: Stupid time mage... come on.
They ran to the grove where RSF was. What Deimos first saw was RSF, and Gorman nearby.
Deimos: Good job, RSF. Gorman, exactly what are you doing?!
The screech was heard again, this time louder. Deimos noticed its source. The Unholy One's creature was about to attack them.
Deimos: Undead thing!
The skele-beast swiped at Deimos, but the magog was too quick. He rolled back and hit the beast's arm with his claws, knocking one bone off, unbalancing the arm. MM unleashed a wind spell, spinning the skele-beast around twice. Vadskye ran at it, jumped, grabbed one of its chest bones, tore it off, unbalancing the skele-beast again, jumped off, and used the bone he took as a boomerang. He threw it at its owner, and it hit well. It nearly knocked the bone that held one of its arms off. Dean summoned a gryphon, which flew into the beast. The skele-beast impaled the gryphon, and ate it.
Deimos: Right.
Deimos froze the air around the skele-beast's feet. Then the skele-beast jumped. Its legs were stuck in the ice, the skele-beast lost balance, and it fell.
Deimos: RSF! Now!
RSF: Okay!
RSF raised his hands. The skele-beast seemed to be blending into itself. Soon it was trapped in time.
Deimos: Well done! Now, what was that, and where's Gorman?!
Gorman had clearly flown away.

Where did that damn angel go!

'RSF, you had him right there! Why didn't you do that time warp spell on him'.

RSF gives me a baleful glare. 'I thought we were trying to see if the precious angel was under a spell or not. I was trying to get a good look at his face when that skeleton creature attacked. A good thing too, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to trap it.'

I snort. His explanation was reasonable, but I just couldn't bring myself to like the man. His arrogance was intolerable.

'Well we're still no closer to answering that question', says MM. 'Either way, we can't camp here tonight. The Angel found us, and so did that Abomination. I think it's easy to work out that the Unholy One also knows where we are. I suggest we keep moving tonight, see if we can find somewhere a bit more defensible'.

'Good idea MM', I agreed. And on the way perhaps our disappearing re-appearing friend here can explain just where the hell he's been!'

As we walked through the night Vadskye told us of his meeting with the entity called the Crook.

'So, Gorman is helping the Unholy One?' asked Deimos.
'Yes', said Vadskye, and it appears I've been drafted as a message boy.

That was disturbing. I had very little to do with gods or religion, and I didn't like the thought of a deity whisking any of us about and commanding us to do their bidding. As I came out of my reverie I heard Deimos arguing with Vadskye.

'So you've actually met a god!' cries Deimos.
'Yeah' says Vadskye.
'So how can you say you're an atheist?!!!'
'I just try harder' replies Vadskye.....
