Why spoil it with airships then? Why not have flying creatures like a pegasus just be a scout?

i would like to walk through a forest with a movement and sight penalty, but i would never appreciate airships as long as the game system stays the same. and imho the airships and cannons just looked stupid in warcraft.

Well, it all depends on the way you see the game. I think the game takes place in the middle ages. So airships could be something "fashionable". After all, it is a new game, isn't it?
