Oh c'mon! Just because the world champion says it doesn't have to be true, it just happens to be his favourite race. Besides, champions always sux, well, almost.

It's easy pickings againt's bats marines and medics. Either use a few zealots to go round and pick off the medics or just put three zealots always attack one unit so they one hit it. But if they have stimpacks and you don't have upgraded zealots or have templars then you are toast.
I don't get your obsession with cannons. 
They are weak, do average damage and are expensive. What's to like? few dragoons and a shield battery is much better if you ask me...

Dragons do half damage against some units (like Marines, Firebats, Hydras, etc, usually small creatures), the Cannons don't. They do excellent damage, and they also attack faster. I agree they have few Hit Points but they aren't attacked, that's what the Zealots are for.

Well if he is world champion (obviously he's Korean ) then it means he tried a lot of different things -- he tried with Terrans too. He just says Zerg is the most versatile -- it doesn't mean he doesn't play with others, but that Zerg is the best due to its many 'adjustments' to strategy.
Though I know, Marines & Medics & Bats are ultra-imba with stim packs at the beginning, that's why Zerg either zergling rushes before medics, or if the map has cliffs, then he goes for lurkers or lots of Sunken asap.
@Joonas: Dragoons deal half damage to marines and bats and all "non-mechanical" units. They deal half as much as cannons.
But if we're talking about AIs, they don't have stim packs in the first wave.

Yeah, the terrans are the weakest in early games. But what if they had a science Vessel with EMP and the Protoss had their equal Arbitor. The terrans use EMp and the protoss is all useless and will die three times as fast, they will also be detected if they are invisible, which they are 'cause of the arbiter.

Wait, WHAT? I thought the game only had the damage proportions to size...
BTW. A nice thing for terran to do before attacking the Zerg is to research one armor. It adds one more shot needed to kill marines from sunkens. Keeps a lot of troops from being one shot.

Sunken does half damage to Marines, it has the same damage type as the Dragoons, so it kills Marines in TWO shots without any upgrade, that is.

But one armor adds a third shot.
And since two sunkens often target the same unit it keeps those unfortunate marines alive.

So now you're saying dragoon damage type is the same as sunkens? That's what I thought before but what was that crap about mechanical units Death was talking about then?

No idea... in fact I'm not sure myself how it works, based on size or whether they are mechanical or not.
Do Ultralisks receive full damage or half from Dragoons? That could explain how it works, since they are large but not mechanical. Unfortunately I don't remember, and I don't even have Starcraft installed anymore (as I said I don't like it that much because of its fast-paced style)

It says it is size based. And at least it's size based with ghosts, vultures and sunkens.
Not sure about hydras or dragoons though.

Tested it.
It is size based. Ultras do take full damage from dragoons.

Jesus dudes, Starcraft is like... older than my grandmom and you still don't know the corelation between the three unit sizes and the three types of damage?
@ the death
the fact that they are non mechanical has absolutely nothing to do with how much damage they make/done.
there are three types of units: small, normal (medium), big, and three types of damage: normal, explosive and concussive.
Ever wonder why yer ghost does 1-2 max 3 vs. BC? Simple. Concussive damage vs. Big units is reduced by 85% (roughly).
Ever wonder why a stack of otherwise useless firebats own a stack of zealots? Easy. Because the same concussive dmg vs small = 100%.
For example, concussive damage (since we were talking about that), does 100% to small, 50% to normal and ~15% to big. Units with concussive are, for example Ghosts, Firebats, Vultures.
ETC.
