Then i suggest you hang on toh chatroom ...
But I would recommend you getting msn to work (if i'm not mistaken you can use other clients that can handle both icq,msn and maybe other chat-programs , meaning you don't have to use microsoft's probram to talk to people who got msn...

yeah ... nevermind is right ... use the Toh chatroom , or try a client.
you can try meebo (www.meebo.com) , it works good for yahoo mess , msn mess and many others
