MAPMAKING - SCRIPTS
Considering the changes in scripting system (full of resources, still hard to obtain yet), comparing to previous releases, where editor is was a bit more user-friendly (although with many limitations), i think any advice/example from those who managed to find the light through the pseudo-lua scripting language is very very welcome and can help others to develop their own maps,if they have some special ideas besides just placing objects on maps.
A bit of role-playing inside each map will spice it up alot (recalling from h4) but, at the moment sources for script examples/hints are very poor.
Remember, if u share your knowledge, you get much appreciation, because you never will get some material advantages being a fan work, so either you share or keeping for yourself only, you still remain poor. the rest is glory !!!
So please, feel free to post any cycles (with description), no matter how noobish would seem, keep in mind there is always someone below that level who could take advantage and use it for heroes gaming progress.

laelth? camel? thunder? ..guys like these could throw us some light.
One good way to learn some basic, is to seat and wait
till the bright ones make scripted maps. Then we peek and learn Celestial mapmaking gang has some guys that im sure will script somtime soon.

there is something that i'm missing here: the scripts that works very well in singleplayer, copy-pasted in the same map(made for multiplayer), don't work at all.
any idea? ty

well it's a good idea to put scripts here....as far as noone will use them to re-make POWERSPOT!!!

Scripts are disabled in multiplayer. It's done to prevet cheating. If scripts were enabled, one could make a map script to get a serious advantage. Or you could use console to run some default scripts like add_exp 100000

This is totally ridiculous! If this is really the reason, guys who decided so must have been under the influence of some drug that causes stupidity.
It's my own private right to get cheated anyway.
And i could be playing with little johny, but hey, he put his bigger brother tom to play in his place.
And. If these UBI guys care so much about us being cheated , why did they cheat us with a fake Online server?

it was painful to discover today that the future of mapmaking is FLAT, but i still hope they'll think twice, and under some circumstances, like disabling console in multi, or any other choice outta hundreds, make the editor running full power for multi aswell.

Yeah I was dissapointed when I found that out... It limited some of my ideas for maps since I couldn't implement scripts
