Poll Question: New towns in Homm
Many races from other games has never been included in Heroes. A loot of new towns could be included buy taking from other games or letting minor races form their own towns. I realy like freedom of choice when it comes to towns, and I wan't as many of them as possible. I took some possible races to be able to form towns. Which of them do you are best?

Dark dwarf town - there already is Dungeon. and Fortress.
High/Grand elf town - too similar to Sylvan
Gnome/Halfling town - lol
Alchemist town - you have a nondescript town with nondescript creatures
Forge (Futuristic) town - i dont want it into wog, i dont want it into h5 either
Centaur town - the best one in the list
Troll town - too strongholdish
Ogre town - too strongholdish
Minotaur town - i like them. i would like minotaur heroes. but then there are some nival masterminds who got the brilliant idea of making them slaves. sadly im sure they wont come away from dungeon in h5.
Gnoll town - nay. gnolls are pathetic
and why isnt here insect town(hive)? i would have voted that.

Dark dwarf town- no there is not a DARK DWARF TOWNbut hes is right try not to make it to much like Fortress.
High/Grand elf town - too similar to Sylvan (i agree)
Gnome/Halfling town - an army of gnome and halflings, well that is something.
Alchemist town- well providing its not too much like Academy than ok
Forge (Futuristic) town- futuristic eh? so tanks, A-Bombs, shall i go on
Centaur town - hmm, has potencial, but it may be hard to do
Troll town - too strongholdish (i agree)
Ogre town - too strongholdish (i agree)
Minotaur town - umm, has before, has potencial, but it may be hard to do, but the Heroes would look GREAT!
Gnoll town - too strongholdish
Insect town - well nival have probably made there own so no point in use botherin with it.
i like Deminion, its a good name and could suit at least 1 of these, Ted.

I actually think that was a very good reply, that sums it up pretty nicely.
I vote Centaur because we have already a town that might do very well as Centaur town (even though I did not intend it as such when I made it, I must agree it's a nice idea).

dark dwarf town- interesting, but, as they say, its already been done before
grand elf town- doesn't fit in with the story line, really. and too similar to Sylvan
Gnome/halfling town- i only really like halfling when they are psychoitc killers, so thats a no-go
alchemist town- far too similar to academy, unless you have creatures that are basically the same only look different and have different names.
futuristic town-depends on how futuristic. if your talking a-bombs, then no-one will like it, but if its stuff from the industrial revoltution (with some fantasy twists) then some people might dig it.
centaur town- despite what many people say, i don't think this town would have much potential.
troll town- not a good idea. a town of stupid, regenerating creatures is not, on the whole, good
ogre town- see the stampede and you will know how i feel about ogres
gnoll town- depends on where, what culture, why, who and what, really. it could be good, on the other hand, it could be a diaster.
minotaur town- impossible in this version of heroes, and if we are using the same world in the next game, not until someone takes over.
hive town- this one is a must, on all acounts. they would sound good, just needs something that would unite them.
all i would say is that if you have halflings, make them mad enough to charge into a volcano naked covered in oil inorder to show how tough they are.(burn, frodo, BURN)

Never heard about the flamewars on the communities before the release of Heroes III AB expansion when 3DO was forced to change the sci-fi Forge town to Conflux.
But yes, a futuristic town would not be good. A Dark dwarf town with steam-tecnology would be better.

agreed, but dark dwarves might also work as slave masters?(finally, those halflings get put in their place) in which case we could brink back trolls and other creatures to be enslaved by the dark dwarves.
