Ofcourse skilled heroes players can SOMETIMES overcome there opponent being very lucky... I didnt say it couldnt happen or I woulda rated it 0% skill 100% luck
But my main point is that in Poker the skilled player will prevail in the long run far more then the skilled player in heroes.
In poker even if you got that donkey chasing flushes and catching them left and right you still have that chance of being able to out play him...
In Heroes however sometimes the luck is so unbalancing that your hands are tied... you are restricted to whats available to you or whats NOT available to you... And you can do nothing but sit back and watch yourself die no matter how good you are and how much of a newb they are.
Jeez..and i always though of lich as this rock solid paragon of sanity. anybody can go nuts when you start mixing the pills though. sounds like recklessness and bad luck...ive done it..ive gotten away with it...and then i got old enough to learn from it without having to pay the consequences.
probably when you take medication it limits your options. ive never been on meds...but my dad was and that goddamn crap has about 20 different caveats..."dont take it with this...dont do that when your using it..blah blah blah"
plus probably a 1000 more different things that can go wrong they didnt find out about when they tested that stuff out on the rats.
and always remember...anything that doesnt kill you makes you stronger.
