EXE hack idea/request

Consider the hero exchange screen:

As you can see, there are four two-way arows in the center. Wouldn't it be cool if you clicked on the top one, it would swap all creatures between heroes? The second could maybe be war machines. The third, worn artifacts. Finally, the last one could be backpack artifacts.

Do we have any coders in this community? Would there be a way to do this? Seems as if it would make chaining a whole lot easier

That wouldn't be so easy to do...
Practically impossible on WoG-less H3 (since we don't have access to source code)
WoG team could perhaps do this for wog, but i wouldn't bet on it.

It would really be a huge improvement. My estimate is that it could shorten each online game with close to 1 hour.

demarest,
It is not a good idea to give to people the impression that some things can be done, especially if you don't have a clue on how it can be done or at least not volunteering for some part or giving some hints!
Do you know how many work-hours requires what you are saying, even for someone who knows basic assembly? Not to mention that this kind of stuff is probably the most boring stuff in the world!
Computers are NO magic. You can't just press a button or two and make things work the way you want.

Hope this helps.

It was a question. If the answer is no or not easily, so be it. Doesn't mean my curiosity or seeking to satisfy said curiosity is a crime. Hope the rest of your day goes better for you

Such buttons were done in Tournament Edition (T.E.) of HOMM3. This version is WOG-based and very popular in Russia. Instructions about T.E. setup are HERE

Very interesting. Too bad that I don't have a clue on Russian. If someone can translate the way it can be done, it would be real interesting ...

Thanks sag

I believe it depends on how you define programming and what you expect to do while programming ...
If you don't have source code to edit, I believe that what you are doing is reverse engineering which is boring in contrast to programming (needs code or at least pseudocode ).

i will translate this page about T.E. version into English...hope i will do it soon - not much work. I plan to put info about T.E. on WCL as well. However 3.2 version and T.E. are not compatible, also the reason of low popularity of T.E. is that ppl should install WOG first, then update to T.E...
