HC's Top Songs
Not sure if this has been done before, but listening to a radio station here in Australia's Top 100 Songs of All Time I thought it might be a good idea to do the same thing with HC, especially with all the music threads going around at the moment.
If everyone sends in their votes for their Top 5 Songs of All Time in a HCM to me, I'll tally the votes after one month and post the results here. The length of the list will be based on the number of votes I get (ie. if only eight people send in it won't be a list 100 songs long). 
I think this will be interesting. Is HC truly dominated by Norwegian Metal Heads? Classical music? Depeche Mode? REM?
What do HC members consider to be the Greatest Song Ever?

There will be sufficient time for everyone to get their votes in, and based on the rate of voting I'll post a 'One Week Remaining' warning here so that everyone has a chance to contribute.
Also post here if you can, just to say you've voted or something, so that we can keep this thread bumped.  But don't post your songs, only put them in the HCM.

How could I not send an HCM. After all my taste in music is unusual, so somebody has to represent the weird.

My favourite tracks are the ones you can't even name their style properly  Should I vote for somewhat more recognizable songs?

Yep, but it makes no sense to send a private message which won't have any effect on the final outcome. Anyway, here are my actual favourites, but will send somewhat more recognizable tracks for the top.

I doubt you'll get any song with more than one vote btw...

I tried to HCM you but then I realized there's just no way I can single out 5 top songs of my life. 
If it had to be one, it'd be "Stairway to Heaven", but this way... no matter how I do the combination, I have to leave something vitally important out.

I love rock music as a whole. There is a genre for every mood, every situation, heck, every time of day. There's no way I can single out any number of "Top" songs out of it.

Friend of Gunnar is completely right this was an absurd thread on my behalf.
I was all buzzy after listening to the song countdown that I neglected the fact that it took over 500,000 votes to make that top 100 list, and this became more apparent with the five or so votes I received after making this thread.
Perhaps much more fitting would be Top Bands/Artists, which I am still keen to try.
I would like a mod to close this ridiculous thread

There was a more successful thread by carcity, where he listed 5 songs per round or something like that and everyone voted on one of them, so it was more organized.
Also, this is assuming Top 5 is measured by popularity.
