I started going trough the weapon heaps, they was obviously labeled after some sort of system with signs, nothing else could explain the big metal squares close to each bunch.
There was even experimental combat armor along sides medieval equipment, in most modern metal of course.
After some searching I finally found a 3rd eye, a arbitary piece of equipment of variable use depending on the person. I hocked it on, the direct interface socket, and started getting used to having my sight back for a short while. After roughly 10-12 minuttes of dazing around my headache and syncronisation with the device had gotten to acceptable levels, I slowly started reading the provided manual. It was a sort of relief to still remember how to read in plain old letters, it was some time since last.
Sadly even the latest prototypes was completely useless besides a minor niece in the field, they had roughly half an hour of battery. The battery pack was split into 2 cells, and was used one at a time, so you could switch in with a spare and keep on using without inconvenience. The was ages from being useful, the battery switch was only there because it would be a pain to change plans later on. A lot of equipment seemed to use this development model these later years, maybe it was better or not.
I pick up a spare battery, hopefully I would have found something useful and be done 10-20 minutes before we left, so I would get at the least a small amount of time to clear out my head back to a working condition. They had removed the pain from the connection on this model at the least, a minor improvement.
I looked down at my skin and my hands, took of my gloves and fit them in almost invisible pockets that was designed to keep them.
After a bit more of peeking I had found the section with combat drugs, most of them was useless from my perspective since I did not use standard sensory perception anymore.
Drugs to increase reaction time? All it was either to decrease the used resources on computer other senses that sight and touch, along with forcing the body to use less time on evoking each picture from the retina. Or some other things, all of it was aimed at a ideal 80% sight and the rest of the senses getting 20% of the rest of the interpretation of the situation.
After some overlooking of some more useful or useless drugs I finally found my favorite: The Heracules Stimulant. A drug whos only affect on the body is that you completely lose the ability to measure your own stamina with your internal sensors. Your body would use it maximum performance, and you would not feel it. Until the effect wears over, it uses 3 minutes to manifest and then stays on for days. Ironically by putting strain on the body the effect lasted longer. The best part was when the drug finally wore of, it wore of by the hour, meaning you slowly regained a sense of your limits. Afterwards you felt extremely exhausted, your sense of mostly pain and endurance had mostly been reset, and it would stay that way for weeks.
Definitly the drug worth picking up, hopefully I would not encounter the heroics where I get the oppertunity to take it. Even better: I hoped I would encounter a heroic and that we would have had time to recover afterwards.

I then resupplied with some minor stuff I actually had used, I even found more incendiary bullets! A new improved version of them, the difference was that the burning liquid would stay hot for a while longer, which essentially was a negishable improvement. They had a more improved version, but it was dumped here marked "Still in experimental field testing". Which side effects was that there was 2 magazines to be taken, and that there might be chance of breakage during use. Urgh......
I considered picking up a helmet, but figured out it was not really worth it. Either the enemy would have too much firepower, or it would hamper one of my senses too much to be useful compared to the protection it gavr. I also picked up 3 more magazines then what I had started with, I did not have place for more in conventional places.
Regarding our loremasters new tad of critical information: We would however do wise in ribbing this place of holy equipment when we left, regardless of how semi useful equipment we needed. I hoped I would not be the one to halt us when we attempted to exit, and then remind the group that we would need every piece of that equipment.
I also restocked on various liquid, I had actually had taken more water out of this suit than anticipated. But with the water system most likely still working, we would have supplies for days. With the main concern out of the way, it was then the food stock. I would have vital vitamins from the pills for more than a year, but I only had several kilo of food in restock max. Hopefully this journey would be over before we embarked on logistics and supply management.

I then started to look for the blessed variants of the melee weapons, noting down the runes and insignia used on the bullets and bolts, and more. After a while of carving I took of the darned third eye, and almost suffered a nerve breakdown from the rebalanceing process. I stumbled using my memory of the layout of the place back towards the entrance, and sat down besides what would be our equal to an entrance to this main vault itself. I then fell asleep of exhaustion, but it would not take more than half an hour to partially regain full functionality.

I had a short dream about the past, my old life as some weird sort of merc longing for being shoot, for reason I could not remember. I was awoken before it got to the point of nightmare fuel of the worst regardless.................... My head was still spinning, i still felt sic, but something needed my partial consciousness, whatever it was.

As soon as the loremaster finished his explanations Tony shouted "The salt shotgun is mine!" and secured the weapon on his back. He then remembered something and added:

"By the way, my name is Tony Jones. It looks like we're better off going through this together, just make sure you don't get me killed somehow."

"All I'll need is suitable work station with plenty of equipment and a weapon better than a damn taser. " said Jeremy. "Oh yeah, and some scotch if there's any. Any weapons that you need repaired and modified can be done by me. "

Johnston stepped into the airlock. It was covered in runes and scribbles and it looked like someone had lugged a leaking vat of salt inside. The salt crushed beneath his boots.
"The rest must be inside already." Johnston shrugged.
He turned the wheel on the other door of the airlock. And he failed. The wheel was stuck and Johnston couldn't budge it either way. After giving it a couple more jerks to either side without much effect. Johnston kicked the door in frustration which gave of a clunk, when the steel caps in his boots contacted the metal.
"Damn inferior Yankee know-how. Now I'm stuck outside gets first pick of the guns."

I think I heard a sound of metal against metal, from the doorway.
I tog a few halfawake steps towards it and said in a high enough voice to get heard on the other side: "What ya want?!"
I heard our dear gentleman respond in litteraly shouting to be heard trough the door: "Would you be so kind as to open this door."
I looked towards Matt and shouted: "Matt! How do I open up the darn door? Johnston caught up!"
He said "Do like this, this and this!" apparently moving his hands, before I hard something like the sound of a hand hitting a head in high speed. "Nevermind, let me do that!" He shouted with the voice of a mildy embarrassed man.
I took a more steps away from the door and went back to sleep as the sound of a gigantic impenetrable metal door opened.

After Tony finished with the shotgun he investigated the vault, looking for something.

"Where are they? Where are they?... Damn it, Where are my 'nades?!", he shouted out loud.

"Your... gnads?", came a surprised question from one of his companions.

"Yeah, my bloody 'nades! You know - oval shaped, with some serious stuffing. 'Nades!"

"Uhhhhh..."

"Ah, here they are! I finally found you, my sweeties! Daddy missed you!"

Tony turns around, juggling a couple of grenades and sees the confused look everyone is giving him.

"What? You never seen a man play with his 'nades before?"
