They are indeed yellow and orange, I have one of those maps.
Personally, I don't see what is gay about a yellow-orange flag. I don't see how the flags changes things either.
What is your beef with the flags?

Not of any sovereign country I can find. It kinda looks like the flag of Sicily, but there are distinct differences.

The top of Spain flag is Red/Orange and yellow.
I hope there arent spanish users in this tread!

I like War-Overlord's idea, base a new faction on ancient greek mythology. Possible place to resurect meduca, Roc's, manticores etc.

The problem with ancient greek mythology is that it totally scattered - throughout the Heroes series I mean.
In H3, a quite big part of the creatures were taken from that (Harpy, Mino, Manticore, Medusa) but
1. Our favorite Titan is still present in Tower/Academy and is one of the longest-lasting creatures in the game.
2. Has anyone seen a Troglodyte or a Beholder in Greece?
In H5, we have seen Titans in Academies, Minos and Hydras in Dungeons and Neutral Manticores - and that is all Greece. Plus, it is hinted that in H6 we'll have Chimeras in Necrotowns.
Personally, I think (though I have lost much of my knowledge about Greek myths) that there is not much space for a hellenic faction, with a complete, 7-headed creature lineup, a special ability and a profile that totally makes them different from others (especially Academy and Dungeon)
Plus, as far as I know, Rocs are not from Greek mythology.

Yeah should have done a bit more research before opening my mouth. i just assumed that with any mythology you take a creature (eagle) and double/tripple/do anything you want with it.

Greek myth has TONS of mythical creatures, characters and gods, you could base the entire Heroes Franchise around greek myth and still have enough source material for half a dozen towns at the very least.
They seem to be fine with letting the monsters of various myths stay spread and mingle though, and I can only applaud them for that, makes us focus more on the town's ideological and symbolic themes rather then their mundane analogs.

Why would it be a Lammasu?
Sphinx is much more simple and plausible, with Necropolis being inspired in ancient Egypt and all

I agree that at least the name should NOT be Lamassu as everybody seems to misspell it, hence the confusion.
The creature itself is cool and could be in, as concept. But put another name on it (sphinx, chimaera), even if You borrow features from Lamassu. Like Warcraft3 did with the Destroyer of the Undead (seems to be exactly the Lamassu). At least Champions should have equally epic names, and Lamassu doesn't seem to be that - very few knew this name before H6 and prolly very few will remember it easy. (see the mass misspellings ^^)
