Alexander had caught the tail end of a spell cast by Brooke, meant for one of the wyrms..a "Polymorph Other" spell..he had managed to partially resist it (Not turning into a tree). With a downward thrust of the sword, there was a large cracking sound..and the last thing he knew the dracolich crumbled to dust beneath him..since it was in flight he fell some distance.
He did not die, but the fall knocks him unconscious..the battlefield is silent.

The battlefield is only silent for a moment, before a newly reformed Brooke says. "It is not over. We may now have a bigger problem then all of the rest combined." she points toward 'Kelvin' who is still in his rune covered form..headed toward the group.
Kelvin slowly transforms back into Walker..who looks ashamed. Brooke lets out a sigh of relief. "Worldbreaker, you have a lot of explaining to do to your comrades." Turning to the group. "Listen well, because after .. you may want to rethink having he who is called Walker as an ally."
Walker nods. "I should have come clean much earlier. As you have probably guessed..I am much more then I seem. Will you hear my tale, or should I depart and not return. I warn you, Kelvin is not under my control..and he might turn on you..so consider that before you decide."
Meanwhile Brooke walks over and splashes some of herself on Alexander..healing him. The transformation fades, but for some reason he is left with slightly wooden skin ((damage reduction of 1 unless by magical weapons or fire)).

Kerym falls to his knees, holding his side. He casts a spell of healing on himself, then packs his net back up. "Better thought out than what turned out. Oh well, it is destroyed..." He rises, and goes searching for his bolas.

Alexander slowly opened his eyes. You could see he was in no good shape - a fall is a fall after all. Raising his hand and coughing blood he asks: "Where is my money?"

Aleron gestured for the druid to wait, put his crossbow away and walked around the dracolich's remains, looking for...he wasn't exactly sure. Clues to where it came from, whether they could expect more, signs that it was really dead...all he knew was that the scattering of dust and bone fragments drew his attention the way nothing on the battlefield did.

((Very clever, because yes..a dracolich does not normally turn to dust when destroyed))
Investigation of the dust and bones turn up very little, except they are not the bones of a dragon..or any other beast. The bones appear to be made of marble. Some powerful magic is at work here, but what is beyond your knowledge.

Aleron made to scoop up a few fragments, thought better of it, then ordered a passing guard to bring him tongs and something to use as a plate. The guard returned shortly with the tongs and a discarded buckler, which Aleron used to pick up several more distinctive pieces. He returned to the party and thrust his makeshift platter under their noses.
"Look at this."

Raistlin finally shook off the dragon-fear that all beasts of that variety were able to generate at will. He moved over to Aleron, looking at all the destruction the dragon had left in its wake. "What a waste..." The rogue muttered, tossing the branch between his hands twice before thinking better of being so casual with such a powerful artifact.
"Aleron, I may not be the most knowledgeable man about the matter of dragons... but I know that even dracolitches don't die like that. What are we dealing with here?"

Alexander managed to stand up and get to the group. He turns to Raistlin and answers him: "Nothing good and anti-evil I say, but by the looks of these remains it is something powerful. I know some people who use bones of the fallen creatures to make equipment. Why don't we do that?"

"Its a Simulacrum." Says Walker. "A magically created artificial replica of a being. Normally they would have the power and abilities of the original, but as our friend said..this one did not have a fraction of the power of a true Dracolich. I suspect that something else was to happen, and did not, to weaken our defenses before it was to strike."
A mercenary comes up about that time. "We have discovered a group of prisoners that these creatures had taken. We are not sure to what purpose these prisoners would have been put. They are awaiting in one of the medical tents."

"Most of us are. The commander has an odd code of conduct..you are new so you don't really know yet. He expects a lot of us, and leads by example..most of us have been around a lot longer then the normal Mercenary."
He takes you to the tent where the ex prisoners are being helped out. ((Locke will be in the Tent, getting some wounds tended))

Kerym eventually locates the bolas, taking care in getting the one back. Afterwards, he heads over to the mage.
"Well, I suppose we have a bit of down time now. If you wouldn't mind identifying the magical properties of those items, that would be great. Now..." He trails off, looking to the others. "Um, what have I missed?"
After being brought up to speed, he figures a trip over to the medical tent might be wise.

In the medical tent, wounded men and women from the attack were being taken care of by all available clerics, healers, doctors, or any other voluntaries who wanted to help in whatever way they could. Unlucky civilians, brave soldiers, and a bunch of freed prisoners who were hurt had been brought in both during and after the battle.
While Lôcke himself had felt like moving out of the tent and teach those monsters a thing or two about righteousness, he had learned long ago from Sair that one should lend ones hand where it was needed the most, and being a cleric of the one true God Sair, he was potentially the most powerful Cleric, and by extension, healer in the country.
"Mass Cure light wounds." Lôcke whispered, standing over the group of the luckiest "wounded", who really did not need any medical attention right now, and served no purpose other than taking up valuable space. Space that other wounded patients needed right now. "There, your wounds have been taken care of, now please move out of the tent and make room for the other people who are waiting." Lôcke said in the kindest tone he could muster at the moment. While Lôcke was frustrated at the selfishness of man, he had long ago learned to live with it. Not waiting to see if the group did as he had told him, Lôcke turned to return to the most critically wounded patients.

There wasn't much space left for Alexander so he had to make it. He pushed through people untill suddenly he bumped into a cleric...

Lôcke stumbled a little when someone bumped into him. Turning around he saw that it was a mercenary, he seemed like he too was hurt, stumbling around, having a small line of blood running down from his mouth. "Cure Critical Wounds." Lôcke whispered as he held his hands over the soldier. After waiting for it to start effecting the man, Lôcke spoke "How are you feeling?"

Alexander looked at the cleric. He saw something that he has never seen - the light coming from a man. "I'm feeling better, thanks. That Dracolich took me down, but stood up and here I am now - standing in front of you. He proved a challenge, but I was victorious.", Alexander answerd the cleric.
