Darren Aronofsky (probably my favourite now, but it changes)
Stanley Kubric,
David Lynch,
Chan-wook Park (Sympathy for mr. Vengeance etc),
Lars von Trier (no one likes him? ) ,
Todd Solondz (Palindromes, Happiness..),
Pedro Almodovar ... Hmm can't think of more now will add later ;P Ok,

Ridley Scott is so awesome, but I hate all his movies with Russel Crove in it. Robin Hood I can't believe he directed such snow..

Robin Hood I'm inclined to agree with, but c'mon, Gladiator?

Gladiator is not bad, but I never really liked it either. The plot was known and obvious from the get go. Characters were not complex enough. Mainly the vibe was "I have seen this movie a hundred times, only this time in ancient Rome" I expected a twist or something to the obvious storyline. Now it felt a little uninspiring. I guess that was the biggest problem for me, it didn't deserve all the hype it got. But it was not a bad movie, I give it 3 stars.

Lars von Trier is amazing.

His film Melancholia is just a masterpiece of art.
