As i know,3DO doesn't like X-BOX,nor favor the future of the BOX.

Quite true - most (if not all) of BIG consoles are sold cheaper than the hardware that's in. Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo altoogh selling their hardware at losses are hoping to gain money from the titles sold for them. For each title they got not a small revenue. So the more the titles - better for them.
And if Microsoft wants to install over 5-6 millions XBOX this/next year - this means that Microsoft will also want lots of developers/publisher making games for them - and for some of them Microsoft is gonna pump with cash... Well don't know for Heroes... But if Heroes will be left only on the PC market - it'll go down - cause generally PC market is going down.
Can you imagine peeople still buying PSX - hardware that's almost 8 years now. And has the speed of accelerated S3 Virge or about 1/2 of speed of Voodoo1... But just that console got good games.
uh.. just rant...

Can I just say.. who cares?? We have gotten four fantastic games out of the heros series which is pretty good if you think about it..
We also have expansions and the ability to create out own maps and campaigns... even our own expansions (WoG). So what if we don't get another Heros? For all we know, Heros five could be awful... it already looks as though they've run out of ideas with heros four.. even worse, on some aspects it looks like they couldn't be bothered to try hard...
I say we should be happy with what we have... if heros four is the last one, at least the series will go out with a bang...

Lots of PC developers seem to like the Xbox.. Notice a lot of its developers are PC developers, even some that previously never developed for consoles.
If 3D0 developed a Heroes game for PS2, it's not unlikely to see one on Xbox.

I'm going with the general consensus that 3DO won't develop an X-Box version... I believe they actually made a loss on the PS2 version of 'Crusaders...', and I'm not sure they be likely to risk that again, at least not untill they know for sure that Heros 4 will generate enough revenue to be worth developing as an XBox game...
Also, we do not know their legal contract details... they might be bound to only produce PS2 games, for instance... It does happen, but we obviously have no (legal) way of accessing any of the binding contracts...

Nah, 3do and NWC
Well, thing is 3do can't make a worse market strategy. I have explained this, they are not really interesting in making games like H4 and MM, they stick to silly arcade games like Army men. Things are going down for them anyway and I personally believe that they will go bankrupt sooner or later. They have huge losses and I think the brand new money from MM and HoMM will just make up for what's lost, not make a new whole treasure. *shrugs* My honest opinion. I think it's too late to change strategy- if they do, better change the name.
I hope however, that NWC will find a good place to work. It may fall apart as well (what's left of it anyway). If I am to say, I really like the MM and HoMM worlds and will be among the saddest people to see them going down.
I can't read accounting papers yet and my friend who has isn't online a lot these days, so I will wait for a bit more to see what happens. Personally I don't have my hope, though.
P.S. Nice to see someone who's head about Trip. :-)

Heck, I think I'm the only one that wouldn't cry if there ws no HoMM5. If the series would be going forth this way, HoMM7 or 8 would be a 3D game. And about X-Box not being a PC... I say X-Box is a console-looking PC. It has a HDD! It even has Windows installed! I know what I'm saying, it's true!

I will definitelly not cry if this is the last HoMM
...with 3DO's brand on it... I hope they crush anbd burn... let EA, Blizzard or BioWare get NWC... at least we will have some decent games...
