Maybe next time a mathematical argumentation with proof of balance problems? No problem with that...

phoenix4ever said: Still I don't see what is wrong with having opinions and making suggestions. If people write ideas in a HotA thread, it is probably because they wan't them implemented in HotA and not WoG or any other mod for that matter, that really should be obvious.
We probably all understand we can't demand or expect anything, but we are still allowed to express our opinions and we can hope others support the idea so it might get implemented in HotA some day.
All we wan't is to make the game even better.
it's the wrong thread. the HotA wishlist thread was made specifically for all of the jibber jabber that has been happening in this thread. i don't think the HotA team appreciates their thread being filled with other people's ideas. besides the fact, that having constant back-and-forth brainstorming from outside their crew, in a thread that is about their RESULTS, is wholly unneeded.
if you are trying to search for something in a thread that produces results, you are going to have to cut through the miles of bullcrap that people post, that have virtually nothing to do with the thread. it happens all over the internet; in a modding community, this kind of banter should be funneled into a thread that keeps the non-productive back-and-forth from the thread that actually produces results.
it's more than rude, it's counterproductive of the order that produces results, whether through actual work, or when trying to find something with a search engine, or when trying to find resources for your own ideas. i understand that you guys want to help, or maybe just see your ideas implemented, but there has to be some semblance of order. that's what the OTHER THREAD is for. that's why this thread has so many pages, because people yap and yap in it, and fill it with something that doesn't belong in this thread.
in my opinion, a mod needs to step in, and strictly enforce this rule. that way, there would be more order; in this thread, you would see results. in the other thread, you could find any ideas for whatever. it just makes better sense that way. i'm not trying to be a dick or anything, but this constant back-and-forth has been getting on my nerves for a long time(and to tell the truth, constant back-and-forth regarding any modding, should be designated in their own "back-and-forth", or "idea" threads, and stay out of threads that are about results). it's clutter, that needs organized. i can't be nice about this, because this has been said before(by more than just myself), and constantly, and it's still not being heeded by you guys.

I understand what you are saying Fred and I fully agree with you.
However people sometimes post their ideas in this thread and if you have something to say you can't magically transfer their post to the other thread so you have to answer here, even though it might annoy some people. It is unavoidable not to make the thread clutter, besides new people join the forum all the time and they might not be familiar with Heroes Community and internet-forums in general. We should welcome new people to the forum, but probably point them in the right direction.
I'll personally try my best to keep my ideas in the other thread and hope for others to do the same.

simple: quote the post, copy it, and paste it into the other thread with your reply there. if enough people do this, then everyone but noobs will get the idea.
thanks for your cooperation. i hope everyone else follows suit, and keeps it that way.
anyway, i'm done cluttering this thread with even more jibber jabber. i'm not trying to add to this; just attempting to straighten it out.

Hi, I'm having problems with playing game in windowed mode in linux. I use PlayOnLinux 4.2.5 and on any version of wine no matter if you select "Windowed mode" I always end up with minimum resolution and fullscreen. Without HoA I can play windowed with any resolution. Any suggestions or solutions?

Hello Nik
Not to be rude or impatient or anything, but do you have any news regarding the development of HotA? Are something new coming up and if so when? What about tweaking some skills and spells?
Also are you considering working with Fred, he seems to have done a lot of work with new graphics, most of it seems pretty cool and would allow for more variation in HotA.
I watched that guys playthrough too, just for fun.
I guess he did alright, but he lacks knowledge of heroes in general and he really should learn that the G-button toggles the liches and magogs area-attack.

HotA's development graph is highly non-linear. Meaning that most of the work is done in a few short, but intensive sprints. Which results in no real time to bring about any actual news. For now there are some ongoing
discussions about... Pretty much everything. Which means nothing in particular . As I've already postulated: the fact that there are some ideas about balancing skills/spells doesn't mean that it will be done eventually.

Is HotA Team working on other SoD-Bugfixes (are there others to be corrected?) or will we see only improvements to the gameplay?

They've never been clear about what's next to come but we can be fairly certain that it will be good.

But it was just to know if SoD has other bugs to fix.

I guess there are some SoD bugs left. Remember when playing the Shadow of Death campaigns and after finishing the first 5 campaigns you find out that your 4 anti-Sandro heroes are NOT transferred to the 6. campaign as promised by the game description? At that point, I was quite angry
But obviously this is only a campaign bug, so no big/relevant issue.
I agree with Datapack that whatever is fixed is an improvement, so why care about what is next...
srikand3000, thanks for the let's play!
Nik, what in the video did you consider good already? (and what made "your eyes bleed")?
I haven't found time yet to watch it, but it think it could be great to learn from more-skilled players

After finally getting it to work i was all excited upon playing the first campaign mission, only to notice that the wood pickups weren't registering the right number (i.e. i picked up a pile of 4 wood, but it would only increase my total wood by 1, etc.). Now i'm at the end of that first mission and i'm out of resources to collect or anything to do, but i can't upgrade my town and therefore (seemingly) finish the level.
I can't see any reference of this problem anywhere either, so wtf?
