1. Brazil will beat Holland. They desperately need this victory on their soil, and Holland doesn't have the motivation. Anyway I expect many goals and very interesting game.

Prediction: 3:2 for Brazil.

2. Argentina will play defensive and boring. IMO Germany deserve the title much more but football doesn't work this way. I'm huge fan of Germany since... long ago and I'm not holding fingers for them only when they play with Bulgaria. I really want to finally see them rising the world cup and I think they totally deserve this with all their great matches after 2002 and because of all the great players that will probably not take part in next world tournament like Kloze and maybe Schweinsteiger and Podolski and all others.

But football doesn't work this way and the last 2 finals are proof for this. Not always the best team win. Spain won the title with only 8 goals. Maybe this will happen again. Argentina have great defense and Germany - the best offence on this world cup. We say what happened with another offensive team - Holland. Germany have constant problems against Italy and Spain and Argentina are playing exactly like them.

Prediction: win for Argentina with 1 goal. 1:0 or 2:1, not more and very, very, very boring game.

Penalties after 0:0 or 1:1 are highly possible too.

I hope this is wrong.

But what I really want is another 7:1 for Germany

David Luiz as Sideshow Bob is perfect

I hope Brazil beats the Dutch, honestly. It would be revenge for Neymar (I love to imagine Hulk or Luiz drawing Andúril from it's sheath before plunging into the fray, roaring "FOR NEYMO!!!!"... oh well, perhaps in another universe), for their shamefull (but hilarious) loss against Goalmany and for the fact that it were the DUTCH that eliminated them in the last world cup. You go Brazil!

We're all in agreement Germany has to beat the offensively boring/boringly offensive Argenturds, right?

So I hope everyone is on our side tomorrow, after watching the most boring match of the whole WC 2014 between Argentina and Netherlands.

The goals no. 4 and 5 where great examples how team football has to be played, Just imagine the same situation in the box with Robben. Do you really think he would have passed the ball back to his team mate so there would be an easy goal for the mate? 100% no....Robben would have taken the shot by himself and failed to score.

And Argentina is 93% Messi. Netherlands showed what Argentina is about when Messi is taken out of the game. germany showed the same in 2010 WC.

So I expect a completely defense team of Argentina hoping for either reaching the penalty shootout (2006 anyone? ) or being lucky in one counter attack and scoring 1 goal.

So my hope goes with an early goal (around 10th.15th minute as ususal ) for the germans, so the game will become more exciting

This time is our time

Ofc. they will try for it. Question is - will Germany score 1 goal.

Its the best defensive team v. the best offensive team. If Argentina score the first goal it will be very, very hard for Germany to send in an equalizer. But if they get the first goal, then Argentina will try to play more offensive, and this probably will mean mistakes in defense and more goals for Germany.

That's why in this final the first goal will be most important.

I think we may also add something about the psychological meaning of the 1:7 match. No, this will not scare Argentina, but if the first goal is for Germany and in the early time... (especially if its followed by another) this may break them down and the end will be bombastic.

But if Argentina start with the first goal, they will continue with at least 10 men in defense, playing like classical Italy.

----------------------
Someone has watched the final from 1990? I expect something like that.

EDIT: One more thing. There is one great man, who uncovered more then few cracks in the iron (or maybe silver? ) defense of Argentina, but luck wasn't on his side:

Best defense? I doubt that really.
Nigeria showed how easy it was to score against them.

Costa Rica had a great defense, neither the netherlands nor italy or england were able to score...

Germany has just 1 more goal against....Oscar ruined it in the 90th minute on tuesday...

And germany is quite used to face defense oriented teams, so I predict high pressure on the argentine defense...with a fault earlier or later which makes us able to score...

Yeah, there's no way I can see Argentina get past Neuer (indisputably the best goalee of this tournament - no small feat when Ochoa and Navas exist) barring some exciting pinball ricochet play which would be enough to confuse him and let a ball in.

Which won't happen. It's Argentina, after all.

To be honest, though... if Argentina won, they will fall victim to the WINNER'S CURSE this tournament has had for a while now. I can't wait for them to get (s)pained in 2018 <3
