That's dumb on their side. Without twitter, his chances to be reelected are much bigger.

It probably means he'll go through with trying to start an alternative platform for posting his views.

Which I have mixed thoughts about and can see pros and cons. On the positive side it will help herd the incurables into a more centralized location, like storing radioactive waste in one large vault instead of spreading it out all over the place. Just let the Trumpians and the conspiracy theorists and even the anti-vaxxers cluster on alternative social media, and then other platforms can show more latitude to ditch them.

On the negative side I don't want to see the internet schism into e-tribal sects. Despite the potential drawbacks of ginormous social media platforms, it is a nice way of making everybody connected.

IMO, I believe the internet and social media fracturing is the inevitable outcome since that is more in line with human behavior. It's not a good thing but it is what it is.

I think part of the problem with social media platforms is that lots of people don't want to get along. Humans are naturally tribal and territorial. At one time I thought that taking arguments to the internet might reduce physical violence in the world at least, although with events that took place this year and last year, I fear the internet and social media might contribute to it.

Don't give apes keyboards?

Give them only a mouse for starters...See what they can do with it.
