There are certainly American quality beverages, say Tequila out of Mexico or Rum with a couple of good producer countries - but the US of America? Not so.

True. There are a couple of good strong beers - Einbecker Urbock, for example, or, Andechser Doppelbock - but that's it.
Lately, a couple of misguided attempts to distill stuff like Gin or even Whiskey, but who even bother?
Even the Netherlands have two great Vodkas, Ketel One and Vox. Speaking of Vodka, the Belarussian Partisan is great bang for the buck.

I get so confused when people talk about alcohol. iirc I've never had whiskey from Germany before but the wines I've had have been really tasty.
