Later I'll try to write such a guide, and you'll see how easily it can be done provided you have some basic knowledge of C++.
Btw, you can test the latest version (with 16 spells added) - version for testing purposes. Now Rolex is working on improving graphics and animations. When it's ready, I'll update the download link in the first post.
You are only limited by your own imagination. You can add as complex spells as you like. But all my awesome ideas to make the game more fun were rejected by Rolex. He said that Heroes III should stay as it is, no experiments with the spells. Well, but if you want to, you can add some crazy spells

If you wish to add a spell you always wanted *and* you or your friends are strong in the graphics department (which means you are able to create handsome pictures and animations for spells in the truthiest Heroes III style), I will gladly add some more spells. Your graphics, my code
Tip: if you find some spells are OP you can always change their parameters in NewSpells.ini or even disable them. There is a total of 128 spells supported by the plugin, so there's enough space for new ones.
Also you may check other spells related plugins:
New Disguise (makes Disguise somehow useful in MP)
New Eagle Eye (NewSpells compatible) (makes Eagle Eye not a really bad secondary skill)
New Magic Mirror (NewSpells compatible) (makes your opponent think twice before casting a spell on your troops)
And don't forget to try this gem of plugins which makes First Aid Tent really OP - NewFirstAidTent

Hey I'd be happy to make graphics and spell animations, but is there an plan/effort to make the mod compatible with ERA/WOG? I'd like to enjoy the mod too

Updated the plugin. Make sure to delete all old resources from _HD3_Data\Common folder, if you tested previous versions.

I saw this, but I don't see #include "....HotAhomm3.h" It's speciall patcher?
It's original 3DO image? Maybe "runic spells"?

The new version is ready with cooler graphics for fire spells. And now you have the magic <ForceOneRoundDuration> key in NewSpells.ini to help you nerf some OP spells

Example test: If my spell 1 mana, but a lot of dmg. AI always used this? Always "use" the best option? It's possible adjustly value?

It can. To 140 spells relatively easy or even more with some extra work. But, you know, it's very unlikely you will come up with 30+ new spells. I mean, not just trash spells.

All spells are adjustable in NewSpells.ini. In the upcoming version 1.1 there will be better AI for new spells and more options.

It's actually easy if you come up with mass version sof existing spells, like Mass Fortune, mass Magic Mirror, etc.
