Let's see........
The ugliest in the series, imo, are either un-upgraded wyverns or water elementals.
The dumbest would definitely be efreet sultans. It's so easy to whoop up on them that I usually leave em alone and try to find a better challenge.....like maybe imps or peasants. But now that I think about it, sultans are pretty darned ugly, too!

OK so Hry You: why are Liches so ugly ? They don't look ugly to me at all... They are more beutifull than mostly Inferno and Tower units, not talking about Castle...

Well here are my choices
From Heroes2- I really think the Hydras from the Warlock town were really dumb looking.
From Heroes3- I have to say Basilisks got my vote for ugliest in 3.
And From Heroes4- I have to say those really ugly Fire Elementals. They just butchered them.

ruled homm2 great looking and a great fighting unit at that.

The really big shot of the H4 mermaid actually looks pretty good, in my opinion. They turned a little waxy and a lot floppy when they were animated (the death animation is particularly annoying), but I think the mermaid model is kind of cute. Among other things, she's got a raggedy-punk type hairdo. 
Not so with the naga, unfortunately. The model naga looks like she has a cold -- her nose is bright pink! It's a shame, because nagas and naga queens were some of the most attractive units in H3.
(I can't remember the Web addy for the big pics right now.)
The trolls from H4 take the cake for true ugliness, though. The ones from H3 are bad enough, with their hunk of raw meat and all, but the new ones are just...yuck. The flies, the rotten-pea-green skin color, the orangish hair, the scrawny limbs, the bizarre squatting position...yuck, yuck, yuck!

But put that wedding dress up, coz the lichharem is full.

Heya all... I'm newbie here to this board... (and well... compared to you people probably also in the game) but that doesn't stop me from voting for the ugliest creature
I've forgot a lot about HOMM2 so i'll skip that (They were all ugly, from what i remember).
Homm3
-Upgraded Zombies. Just look at them. Big helmet thing and a sort of hammer... Rather amusing.
-Vampires. Ugly guy with light grey and dark grey colors. I only upgrade them so they look prettier  j/k
-Firebirds. Don't like their color. Phoenix much better.
-Physic elemental. (Sure it isn't a scarecrow??)
-Peasants. So they COULD sink lower.
Hmm can't think of more right now. Ya... Halflings, Magog's and some other little ones are awfull too.
Anyway, i always thought the Naga Queen was one of the prettiest creatures Fairy Dragon is definatly cute too!
Haven't played IV.
Edit: Oh people that have played Warcraft 3 know that the Abomination dwarfs them all out. If you want to see a picture of it then say it They're just disguisting.

I think, air elementals are just boring. They were the same looking all the time! I can tell more creatures that need plastic surgery but my pizza is waiting
