I agree Lord Crusader, we can inject a little life in to this thread.
As I said I live in England. Manchester in the North West. Manchester was once more important, but since the post-industrial era it showed a dramatic decline. Recent years and lots of investment in architecture and culture has (wasted a lot of money) and modernised Manchester a lot.
Greater Manchester the area has 3 million, Manchester city has 500,000-1million population. It’s the 3rd or 4th biggest city in England, and popularly considered the capital of the North (England anyway). Manchester is famous for Man U Football Club, the ‘Curry Mile’, the well-publicised gay district and the Peak District National Park.
I was originally born in Bedfordshire a little county north of London, in the main town, Bedford. Bedford is rather non-consequential, couple of pubs, 1 or 2 clubs. No wonder I moved to the big city, for nightlife and action (and degrees!).
Manchester is my home now and has been for 6 years odd, I plan to stay for a while, possibly move cities in a few years. Couldn’t say where, I suspect I will go where my fantastic future job takes me.
I could go on, but Ive no juicy secrets about Manchester Im afraid. If any one is interested I will try to answer any questions about Manchester or England, but my knowlege is most certainly exhaustive here!

I'm from the Netherlands
province Zeeland
It's very nice here by the sea, not many people in the town I live. Our town is known for building marine ships (you know..those BIG ones  ) and the province is known for it's Delta works (construction to keep us dry lol)
My second home is Croatia and like every town in Croatia it's known for the wine LOL ( I mean..what town in croatia doesn't have vineyards/vinograds)
Just over the border in Slovenia there's also a huge spa called Rogaska Slatina (very beautifull)

information on Winnipeg: NO SARS (we have west nile though) Were trying to bring back our NHL team the Winnipeg Jets, were some 24 hours drive from Toronto and in the dead centre of North America.

No, not a girl--I picked Synca because she was one of the few original HOMMIII avatars not being used. Does our avatar have to be gender specific? At least mine is human hehe. It's only temp until I can post my own.

Waeva. It's a periphrasis of Whatever, to emphasize the pronounciation. Just an expression my friends and I use on the net and in RL. It basically means "no big deal", and is most often used to move a conversation or discussion along.
Hope that helped.
And avatars by no means have to be anything, I just thought it odd that you'd picked a male-sounding screen name and a female-looking avatar. But more power to you.

from Tartu -- the second largest first cosiest city in Estonia, and being already 4th estonian here, we together bring the country to most overrepresented one in HC -- a whole 0,00026% of the whole population of 1,3 million is present in Heroes Community. Yo!
