thx for support teacher
also thx for game on plains we had .If I whould waste a little more time I would ve no chances

also hint for all,u know it,but  again-plz move faster,if u ll learn it in one map u ll do that in all .no -rush?- is posible then-and its a HUGEadvantage in game.
I donot know ...can somebody specify -what is rush(H4)??My opinion is that  its imposible in H4 ,if an oponent is good player.those good players should know that -fundamental thing, basic law, principal taskof H4 is ?
answer is speed
hammer it into your heads once and for all
donot want to hear it nomore

Speed is ONLY the answer if the map you are playing is POORLY designed to allow it.  I bet TC_Fear that you never play a map that you cannot attack your opponnet before week 3.  Any of the maps that takes week 4 or later, I can almost bet money you wont play.

I had this discussion recently with Valkyrica,  ANy player that thinks that this game should only be about Speed, lack the ability to win in longer games and can only retain wins if they can get overwhelming 1 sided advantage early in games.

Peace

Unfortunately (and my heart aches when I say this), I have to agree with Tc_fear_of_hamsters, speed is everything, and to point this out to you jinxer, a map that you "think" it should end week 5  or 6, in fact it should end week 4, it's all about prioritizing things, not taking every resource pile there is on the map ...

And again Valkyrica you are so stuck on your opinion you failed to read what my post actually said.  I said speed is ONLY a factor if the map is designed to allow for a week3 ending etc.

Take for example the new map that Camel posted called under the bridge. I havent played it yet, but I would bet that the meeting of opponents wouldnt happen any before week 4 if not later than that.  So how many time do you think TC_Fear will play that map?  My guess is once at most until he finds out he cannot rush week 2 and end the game.

And before you go off on more of your pointless jabber Valkyrica... I dont care if I get rushed. I like you have tons of losses so losses do not bother me. What bothers me is to see a game with so much potential reduced to a WIN and quickest points. It sounds like to me TC_Fear dont even bother building a hero up he just rushes in with level 4 units and poof he gets the WIN in 35 mins.  Well I say good for him, But whats the fun??  Is that all this game is to people like you Valk and TC_fear? Is the WIN?  The fastest points you can post on board?  Why not engage in a map that utilizes ALL aspects of the game. Building a hero to GM in 3 different skills and actually using most of the map.... Granted it is the map designers duty to make sure you HAVE to use the map.  If the map maker makes XL map and puts level 2 guards between opponents then ofcourse people will prioritize and skip 80% just to go in for the fast quick kill.   But I think the mark of a GReat map is where you need to actually use 90% of the map and cannot easily rush over for the fast easy points.

That was my goal in Genesis...even though Valk I know you hate this map, and I know it is not a perfect map, it atleast is not a map that you can easily rush over with ONLY level 4's and end it week 3 or earlier. And I havent looked, but I would bet you wont find that map listed in any of the maps TC_Fear has played.  WHY?  because his so called SPEED is the answer philosphy doesnt always work as he claims. It only works on maps he has memorized, and maps that were designed for such easy breaks and easy rushes.

And yes its all about people playing styles...and thats all. TC_fear and BraveHeart and Valky all like the easiest fastest points possible. Reminds me of the Hit and run cheesy players of H3. Then there are the others that liked playing Random maps in H3 because they wanted a challenge of beating there opponent in unknown circumstances.  The game might take 4 weeks or it might take 2 months you never knew. My point is that SPEED is only a personal preference it is NOT the answer to H4.

And btw you only agreed with TC_Fear because you wanted to disagree with me.

I seems very funny to me that Tc_fear ignored another sentence of the teacher : "what's accepted is half forgiven , but i still want my stolen points back.
" ... that means if the teacher would have used the movement bug of course he would move faster... but than again the teacher is an honnorable player ... the only mistakes that he made in your game is that he didn't make saves everyday ... hey guys ...i know how to counter tc_fear's rush : just make saves every day and in the end ask for his password !!

Once again you make a fool of yourself Jinxer, and i am sorry to see that, a long time ago i thought highly of you, but that feeling depreciated with time !

And of course we play to win, we do it for the pleasure of the game but we have the winning in mind, don't we ? i don't want to win by any means (and i mean dirty ones) possible

and, to close, Jinxer to say that i want easy points ... i think you are mad my friend, i could've easily played 1 map and only squires/barons and i would've been next to hidden and tc_fear now !

The non-delusional people rest their case !!

Some how Valky it doesnt seem to upset me much that the Great Valky doesnt think highly of me. And I so wanted your apprication and respect. Oh well. It is even funnier that you sound just like MotorSchaaf. If other peoples opinons dont agree with yours, then they are dilusional and you are disappointed in them lol.

I meerly pointed out that your so called SPEED concept of H4 was not the hands down only way it should be played. Yes ofcourse it is one of many options, but for example now that Random maps are now becoming possible in H4, you will see that SPEED concept diminish greatly if you play randoms.  NO more memorizing maps.  And without map memorizing and as you call the ability to prioritize you will be lost.

Anyways, as usual it is impossible to post an opinion on this board without a MotorShaaf clone attacking your opinion lol

Peace!

ok, before i get slammed again (lol) for offering my opinion and being a noob at the same time (the ultimate HC crime), let me say that i think both valky and jinxer are right and that they really just wanted to have a good public spat cuz TC_Fear wasn't taking the bait.

this game has two phases, generally ... the "run-the-map" phase and the "player-to-player combat" phase.  speed is essential in the "run-the-map" phase, and we all know it.  getting lvl. 4 creatures as early as possible and fighting the max. number of neutral opponents to build up strong heroes as quickly as possible are the essential keys to running the map, and all really good players do this.  my first online gaming expierience, btw, was against none other than TC_Fear, and i learned really quickly that the one who runs the map fastest ends up a lot stronger in the final battle.  but the second phase of the game, the player-to-player combat phase is more important, ultimately, because it determines who's gonna win the game.  and while i can run a map pretty well, learning to do player-to-player combat well is a very difficult skill to master, and i'm nowhere close ... lol!  player-to-player combat skill is what you gain from 30 losses on your record. needless to say, the longer the map you're playing takes to complete, the more important it is to master player-to-player combat because heroes and spells are more versatile and complicated than mere creatures.  fast maps are creature-combat intensive.  slow maps are hero-combat intensive.

so, both you guys are right.  let's go back to picking on TC_Fear.  that's much more fun.

j/k TC.  no offense.

oh, unless you're a heroes GOD, of course, and there are a few of them out there.  i have no doubt that hidden_dragon, for example, is very good at player-to-player combat even though he's got a lot fewer than 30 losses.  some of us are just born with that kind of analytical talent, i guess. i certainly wasn't.

Player-to-player combat skill only does so much.. Those 5 hours preparing usually counts for more than most think

And to the rushing part:

The one who dislikes the rush style of playing is usually the army-builder type. This game is so much more than building up castle after castle before meeting your opponent in a final battle that takes place on a set time/area sometime 10 hours after start.

The fear of a rush is what keeps the game exciting imo. When will xxx break through? Should I dare build lvl 4 dwelling up in my second castle now or do I want the cash for immo-pots / trees / creatures-....?

I usually like to build armies, but sometimes a good rush is what it takes to win the game, and I'm not blind to that opportunity (or that's what I hope atleast)

Then again.. I like playing Circle of life, and that's not exactly the rush type of map.. guess my actions contradict my written opinions

anyway, have fun!

well I agree that being effective is the key part of every strategy game.

However, you can say about Jinxer what you want, but he's for sure an honorable player who wouldn't do something to others which he doesn't like to be done to him. That's basically the difference between playing for enjoyment of the game and being a pointhugger.

he is honorable, no doubt about it, but he just won't accept the loss, something has to happen ..., and not all are point huggers, you know, I mean, haile, from your personal opinion , 67 wins and 68 losses and lord means being a point hugger ? cause if it is, i don't know what doesn't make you one !!!

huh, valkyrica? Maybe I'm missing something, but how on earth could you think my previous post was directed towards you in ANY way?

Not that my opinion matters, but I DO think you are a very honorable player. It's a shame I don't like the game you're playing, otherwise I'd be happy to give you the chance to stomp me.

All I was saying was "Somebody who hates a certain tactic usedagainst him, but uses it against others once he gets a chance to, acts more like a pointhugger than like a honorable player".

Was that clear enough? Children nowadays...
